Press sources said that the IOF soldiers also destroyed three old olive trees in the same area, noting that the soldiers regularly level land in Bani Naim areas overlooking the bypass road citing security pretexts.
Meanwhile, IOF soldiers escorted civil administration employees who served notices to farmers in Khirbat Al-Tawil, near Aqraba village in Nablus, and told them that their tents and animal pens would be razed.

He said that the occupation forces gave the farmers 72 hours to evacuate before the soldiers demolish them, adding that the IOF considers the area a closed military zone that no installations should be erected in it.

Settlers cut down over 30 trees in Hebron, activist says
HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Settlers chopped down dozens of olive trees in the district of Hebron on Friday, a local activist said.
Rateb al-Jabour, from the popular committee against the wall and settlements, said the trees belonged to Ali al-Arda from Yatta.
Jabour appealed to international organizations to help remove the "settlement cancer" which is eating Palestinian land.
Israeli forces were present during the incident, Jabour said.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is systematic in the West Bank.
Over 90 percent of villages which have experienced multiple attacks by settlers are under Israeli security control, The Palestine Center says, meaning local Palestinians only have the official protection of an army which they claim ignores settler violence.

Olive grove destroyed in south Hebron
Palestinians found 30 olive trees in al-Hamra valley destroyed on Thursday
Israeli settlers destroyed 30 olive trees in a Palestinian grove in the south Hebron hills on Thursday, a local official said.
The trees in al-Hamra valley, neighboring the Havat Maon settler outpost, are owned by the al-Rabee family, popular committee coordinator Rateb al-Jabour said.
Al-Jabour condemned aggression by settlers in the area, and said the attitude of the Israeli authorities gives permission to the settlers to conduct such acts.
Italian peace group Operation Dove said 97 Palestinian trees have been destroyed since January, and the largest amount has taken place in the Humra valley.
Also on Thursday, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory visited the south Hebron hills village Jinba, one of eight slated for demolition by Israeli authorities to make way for a military training zone.
Maxwell Gaylard said: "These are already some of the most vulnerable families in the West Bank -- forcibly displacing them from their homes and lands would have a serious immediate and long-term impact on their physical, socio-economic and emotional welfare."

Media Pitch: Palestinian Olive Farmers Ordered to Uproot Trees in Deir Istiya
Bounded by citrus groves and nestled deep in the fertile valley of Wadi Qana, thousands of olive trees in Deir Istiya have been growing for years on either side of a meandering stream. Overlooking it, seven Israeli settlements have expanded on the surrounding hills.
Located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, the Israeli Civil Administration (ICA) has declared the valley a closed nature reserve, issuing orders to farmers on 27 August to uproot 180 olive trees by 2 September. The order to uproot is the second farmers from Deir Istiya have received in recent months. On 25 April, farmers received orders to uproot 1,400 olive trees, which would destroy the livelihoods of 8 families that depend on those trees to earn an income. The farmers affected have appealed to the Israeli Supreme Court.
The orders come as demolition by Israeli authorities of Palestinian property and infrastructure in Area C, including aid projects funded by foreign donors, has been on the rise, hindering Palestinian social and economic development and increasing the risk of displacement for already vulnerable communities.
Oxfam is working with olive farmers in Deir Istiya on a new three year programme "From Grove to Market" funded by the European Union (EU), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Projects Direct (Oxfam GB). If the trees are uprooted affected farmers in Deir Istiya will lose the opportunity to benefit from the international support to improve their oil and their income.
Nasser Mansour Qasam (Abu Rami), who is a member of the olive oil cooperative of Deir Istiya supported by Oxfam, is one of the Palestinian farmers whose trees are threatened to be uprooted. For generations his family farmed the land of Wadi Qana producing oranges, lemons, grapes and olives, accounting for their only source of income. As the settlements have expanded, he has seen his families' rights and income progressively denied.
Abu Rami says that he feels powerless against the worsening situation and the order to uproot his trees. "We have been raised here and yet we can't plant a tree in a land that belongs to us."
Background information:
Since 2006, Oxfam has been working with olive farmers and olive farming cooperatives in the West Bank. This work has helped farmers increase the quantity and quality of their oil and improve their income through improved market access locally and abroad.
The development of olive farmers and the olive oil sector is crucial, as it is an important source of food security, labour and cash income for 100,000 Palestinian families. In order to improve their income from olive farming, farmers need regular access to their trees so that they can prune, irrigate, and fertilize. However, for olive farmers in Area C or in the vicinity of the Israeli settlements, many groves are effectively off limits to Palestinians or access is highly restricted due to settlements, outposts, bypass roads, military bases, closed military areas and areas the government of Israel has designated as nature reserves.
These 'closed zones' have led to the expropriation of many tracts of agricultural land, harming both the agricultural economy and the welfare of farming families. According to a report issued by the Palestinian Authority (PA) and the Applied Research Institute- Jerusalem (ARIJ,) an estimated 800,000 olive trees have been uprooted since 1967 resulting in a loss of around $55 million to the Palestinian economy each year.
