Report: Two Palestinians Killed, Ten Wounded During Israeli Invasion In Hebron
Palestinian medical sources in the southern West Bank city of Hebron reported Friday morning that two Palestinians were killed and ten others were wounded after the army invaded the city, surrounded a house of a resistance fighter and fired mortars at it.

Later on, soldiers opened automatic fire at the buildings and also fired several mortars.
The sources added that military bulldozers started demolishing a home where resistance fighters were believed to be hiding, and also demolished walls surrounding three other homes.
Soldiers also conducted a military campaign and kidnapped at least 10 Palestinians believed to be involved in attacks against Israeli soldiers and settlers, army spokesperson said.

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Two Qassam commanders were killd on Friday by the Israeli occupation forces in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil in an operation that lasted over eight hours. Ten others were arrested in the same operation, according to PIC correspondent.
IOF troops supported by more that forty army vehicles and bulldozers as well as helicopters and drones started an extensive military operation shortly after midnight concentrating on mount Jouhar neighbourhood of al-Khalil.

TULKAREM, (PIC)-- Hundreds of residents of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem participated in the funeral of martyr Nash'at al-Karmi, the Qassam commander who was murdered by the IOF at dawn Friday in al-Khalil in the southern West Bank.
The body of the martyr arrived at the family home in the western part of the city for his family and friends to pay their last respects.

Karmi, 34 years, was one of the youngest deportees of Marj al-Zhour, when the Israeli occupation deported 416 activists affiliated with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad to southern Lebanon in December 1992.
He was detained by the Israeli occupation four times and spent more than seven years in Israeli jails. He was also wanted by the PA security which serves as an agent for the occupation.
He was married to a school teacher from al-Khalil and his wife gave birth to a little baby girl four months ago.

Palestinian armed factions vow to avenge murder of two fighters in Hebron
From Khalid Amayreh
Occupied al-Khalil, (PIC)-- Palestinian resistance factions have vowed to avenge the murderous killing on Friday of two resistance fighters affiliated with the armed wing of Hamas, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades.
Mamoun al Natshe and Nash'at al Karmi were martyred at the Jabal Johar neighborhood in Hebron before dawn Friday. The two fought valiantly a fierce long battle with hundreds of Israeli occupation soldiers, refusing to surrender. The occupation army eventually used anti-tank weapons and other heavy weapons, killing the two Hamas fighters. The building in which the two Fedayeen were barricading themselves was destroyed.
The two fighters were believed to have been responsible for a series of attacks against Israeli occupation targets, including soldiers and armed settlers.
Al-Karmi and Natshe joined Hamas in the mid 1990s and were able to elude Israeli army intelligence despite intensive efforts, often in coordination with the Palestinian Authority. Both had been jailed and tortured by Israel.
Al-Karmi was Israel 's most wanted person in the West Bank .
According to his brother, Bashar, al Karmi said the Israeli occupation authorities offered to deport his brother, the martyr Nash'at, for five years if he agreed to give up armed struggle against the Israeli occupation. However, the martyr adamantly refused.
"My brother was not of those who would surrender themselves. He wanted to become a martyr for the sake of God and for the sake of Palestine."
Al-Karmi said the martyr had been hounded by the Israeli ever since the Bani Naim operation a few weeks ago and his whereabouts were unknown ever since.
Sources in Tulkarm said preparations were underway to transfer the martyr's body to his native town in the northern West Bank .
According to Islam, a martyr is buried without the final rites that ordinary dead Muslims undergo before burial, such as a wash-up and getting wrapped in white linen shroud as it is believed they would be washed and anointed by angels.
It is uncertain whether the PA security forces will allow the two families to hold mourning receptions. The Natshe and Karmi families are among the most prominent clans in occupied Palestine. Observers suggest possible harassment by the PA could generate a lot of bitterness and indignation among members of the two clans.
Reactions:
In the Gaza Strip thousands of ordinary Palestinians, many of them Hamas supporters, took to the streets after Friday's congregational prayers, shouting anti-Israeli slogans and calling on Palestinian resistance factions to retaliate for the murderous killing.
Hamas' leaders took part in one huge rally which started at the kholafa al Rashideen Mosque in the northern part of Gaza.
Some of the speakers held the PA fully responsible for the murder to the two Islamic fighters. "The latest murder was the result of the treacherous security coordination between Israel and the Dayton's authority,' said the speaker, alluding to the American general Keith Dayton who supervises the training and arming of the PA security agencies.
Another Islamist leader, Sami Abu Zuhri, pointed out that the murderous killings in Hebron were a message to Arab leaders and officials meeting in Libya that they should abandon futile negotiations with Israel.
Hamas's parliamentary bloc has also denounced the PA, saying that the killing of Natshe and Karmi was the ultimate fruit of security coordination and cooperation between Israel and the PA.
"There is no doubt that this crime comes as a fruit of the security coordination between the Fatah authority and the Zionist regime, which is directed against the resistance."
A leaflet by the Change and Reform Block sent to the media urged the PA to immediately sever all ties with the Zionist regime.
"The PA should realize that the more it endears itself to the Zionist enemies, the more humiliation and failure it will receive. The only right and safe course of action is to return to the lap of our people."
The killing of the two Hamas fighters in Hebron Friday is expected to further complicate the stalled talks between Israel and the PA. The PA has recently stiffened its stance regarding the resumed expansion of Jewish settlement activities in the West Bank following the expiry of the ten-month moratorium. The killings, which also come at the heels of the recent burning of a Mosque north east of Hebron , might also exacerbate the sullen atmosphere between Fatah and Hamas.
A marked improvement in the relations between the two biggest Palestinian movements occurred earlier this month following a meeting in Damascus by the two group's top officials. However, the continued repression of Hamas supporters in the West Bank seems to have exacerbated the atmosphere between the two movements.
Officials from Hamas and Fatah are expected to meet in Damascus in the second half of October to attempt to finalize a possible reconciliation agreement that could end the most disastrous national rift in recent Palestinian history.

Brother of killed leader says Israel offered exile
TULKAREM (Ma'an) -- Nashat Al-Karmi, killed by Israeli forces overnight in Hebron, refused an offer by Israeli authorities to be exiled for five years, his brother said Friday.
Bashar Na'em Al-Karmi said the proposal was made to his brother one month ago, but that Nashat refused because he "did not give up easily."
Nashat, a senior military commander with Hamas' armed wing the Al-Qassam Brigades, was released from prison five months ago, and was frequently summoned by Israeli intelligence services, his brother said.
Bashar added that Nashat had been chased by Israeli forces since four settlers were killed near Hebron on 31 August in a shooting attack claimed by the Brigades.
An Israeli military statement said Nashat was released from Israeli prison in August 2009, and was declared a "wanted suspect" since the 31 August attack.
The statement further said that the objective of the raid in Hebron was to arrest the men, but that one suspect opened fire, and was killed by return fire, while a second suspect was killed after he refused to surrender, and forces "employed engineering tools in order to cause him to exit the building."
Maamoun Al-Natsha, a local Hebron commander, was also killed in the raid, and six others were detained.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, and Fatah's armed wing the Al-Aqsa Brigades, have vowed to respond to the killings.

Palestinians protest al-Khalil killing
Hundreds of Palestinians attended the men's funeral in al-Khalil on Friday.
Thousand of Palestinians have taken to the streets of Gaza to protest against Israel's killing of two Palestinians in the West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron).
Maamun al-Natsha, 25, and Nashat al-Karmi, 35, were killed in an over night Israeli attack in the Jabal Jouhar neighborhood on Friday.
Witnesses say Israeli soldiers besieged a three-story building, in which the men had taken shelter, opening fire on them before sending in bulldozers to demolish the building. Six other Palestinians were also arrested in the raid.
Israeli forces had besieged the entire neighborhood since the early hours and proceeded in a house-to-house search to arrest the men.
The Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas, which runs the Gaza Strip, has condemned the killing. The men were reportedly members of the Qassam Brigades.
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri has blamed the Palestinian Authority for Israel's ongoing aggression against Palestinians and accused Fatah forces of collaborating with Israel to carry out last night's raid
Hundreds of Palestinians attended the men's funeral in al-Khalil on Friday.

Woman dies of heart attack sustained in Silwan shooting
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian woman in her fifties died on Friday of a heart attack sustained two weeks ago following the Silwan shooting in East Jerusalem.
Haniyeh Auda suffered a heart attack when an Israeli settler guard opened fire at her son-in-law Samer Sarhan, who was mortally wounded by the shooting.
Auda was transferred to hospital following the shooting where she died on Friday.

ACRI letter demanding clarification of transfer exercise
To:
Mr. Binyamin Netanyahu
Prime Minister
Jerusalem
Dear Sir,
Re: Security Forces Exercise Simulating Population Transfer
We learned through a report on Kol Israel (Reshet B, October 8) of a large-scale training exercise by the Prison Service, Police, Firefighters, emergency crews, and the Homefront Command simulating in detail how these forces would handle demonstrations and protests by Arab citizens in response to the execution of plans to exchange populations and territory in the context of a diplomatic agreement with the Palestinian Authority.
If this is true, we demand an incontrovertible and immediate denial of this report by the most senior officials, given its extreme and outrageous nature.
If these reports are accurate - and the fact that such an exercise took place would attest as such - it would confirm that notions of transfer, also termed land swaps or population exchanges, in the context of a diplomatic process are not only elections slogans or the private fantasy of certain politicians and ministers, but a concrete possibility at the top of the agendas of the government and those behind the execution of the exercise. Indeed, it is an idea that is gaining legitimacy daily on the part of
government and public officials.
At the same time, we cannot ignore the relevance of this report to other current events. The message being transmitted to the public is extremely alarming: that an issue which is completely illegitimate - the forced revocation of the citizenship of some of the country's Arab citizens - is perceived by the government as a reasonable and even likely possibility. It is so likely that it warrants a high degree of organization and preparedness ahead of its implementation. What's equally appalling is that talk of revoking citizenship comes amid the recent campaign of delegitimization against Israel's Arab citizens. This trend is manifested through a wave of anti-democratic legislation seeking to hold Arab citizens up against "loyalty tests" as a condition for realizing their rights and citizenship, among other faulty demands.
Citizenship is a basic right and every violation of it undermines the foundations of democracy. The citizenship of members of Israel's Arab minority is not an exception. Citizenship is not a pawn in negotiations and cannot be conditionalized or revoked by force - this is also true in the context of political or diplomatic agreements or arrangements.
The approval, directly or by connotation, of a planned initiative or of implied agreement (through silence) to a plan to execute population transfers constitutes a dangerous and rapid deterioration of the very basic values of our society. As a result, we felt compelled to write to you and to demand a clear and immediate assurance that there are no plans or discussions being held within the government regarding population transfer - and that there will be none in the future.
Sincerely,
Attorney Auni Bana
Director of the Arab Minority Unit,
The Association for Civil Rights in Israel

Israel to conduct security exercises in J'lem simulating human bombing operation
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Israeli security forces have launched wide ranging security exercises in occupied Jerusalem that simulate human bombing operations against Israeli targets in the city.
Israeli police told media the exercises begin on Tuesday morning and end at night in the vicinity of Jerusalem and roads leading to it. The program is designed to simulate the occurrence of a human bombings against Israeli targets.
Security sources warned of possible bombings from Palestinians as the direct peace talks between the PA and the Israeli government started. Security warnings have been received in that regard.
Israeli Radio revealed on Tuesday a plan by Israel's minister of internal security and minister of housing to devote millions of shekels to build up the Israeli police force in the Mount of Olives region in Jerusalem.
The objective is to ensure security for Israeli settlers after a number of incidents of unrest in the neighborhood.
The source said that under the plan dozens of cameras and sensors will be placed in the neighborhood. Border guard forces will also be enhanced.
Media expects Israeli Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich to approve the plan in a few days and to apply it within the next four months.
Israeli Radio claimed that the Mount of the Olives in the last several months has been a hotspot for attacks against Israeli settlers.
Two settlement outposts on the Mount of Olives overlook the Old City of Jerusalem. The area is home to about 150 Israeli fanatic settlers. It was recently expanded and its infrastructure is currently under construction.

A woman is injured and two youth are arrested in renewed clashes in Silwan
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Clashes between local Palestinian youth and IOF soldiers erupted again on Thursday evening in the Silwan suburb to the south of the Aqsa Mosque in the holy city.
Jawad Seyam, head of the information center of Wadi Helwa, said that the clashes resulted in the injury of a Palestinian woman and that the IOF soldiers arrested two Palestinian youth.
Eyewitnesses said that Nahlah Gaith, from Ra's al-Amoud neighborhood in Silwan received injuries all over her body as a result of being assaulted by the IOF soldiers when she tried to stop them from arresting her son.
The witnesses further said that the soldier beat the mother, her son 17-year-old Abdullah Gaith and 19-year-old Muhammad Maher before arresting the two young men.
The suburb has become a hotspot for friction because of increasing attacks by the Jewish settlers and the occupation soldiers on the local residents as well as occupation plans to demolish 110 Palestinian homes in the suburb to serve the occupation scheme of ethnically cleansing and Judaizing the holy city.
Seyam also said that the IOF soldiers threatened Naim Ruwaidin the owner of the house on which a protest tent was setup giving him till Sunday to tear down the tent.
