For Israel, the Truce Is Over...Gaza Invaded Again
Saturday, Israeli special forces invaded the gaza strip east of al-Maghazi refugee camp, firing at palestinian fighters and injuring at least three.
According to some reports, the palestinian fighters, who were affiliated with the nasser salah addin brigades, the military wing of the popular resistance committees, threw an explosive device at israeli soldiers.
This was followed by israeli tanks shelling the area east of the refugee camp leading to the injuries.
The brigades reported that at least one israeli soldier was injured in the clashes.
Following the shelling, the al-aqsa martyrs brigades, the main military wing of fatah, launched one homemade projectile which landed in an open area in sderot causing no injuries or damage.
The 5 month ceasefire is set to either expire, or be extended on december 18th. At present, numerous Palestinian factions have reported a desire to end the ceasefire and return to an active state of conflict.
Resistance leaders have stated that since Israel has failed to make good on its promises to life the siege of gaza and cease offensive attacks, then there is no reason to continue practicing restraint.
On sunday, the al-quds brigades, the military wing of islamic jihad released a statement through its spokesmen Abu Hamaz, which read:
“In light of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip killing more than 17 people this month, the continuation of closing crossing points and tightening the siege, it is a duty of Al-Quds Brigades to retaliate for that aggression...This is a message to the enemy and its Defense Minister Barak that the Al-Quds Brigades will respond to any violation of the ceasefire. Blood for blood, destruction for destruction, and we warn the occupation government that hundreds of projectiles will shower the Israeli settlements bordering the besieged Gaza Strip if the enemy commits any folly against our fighters or our people in the West Bank or in the Gaza Strip.”
Hamas' armed wing, the al-Qassam brigades have also been publicly questioning the future of the truce.
They have called for an all faction gathering, where the future of the truce will be evaluated and discussed.
Hamas is encouraging all Palestinian factions to meet in Gaza before december 18th and discuss the ceasefire. through this discussion, Hamas hopes to “identify a clear and unified attitude towards [the ceasefire].”
Similarly, the spokesmen for the national resistrance brigades, the military wing of the democratic front for the liberation of palestine, stated that all palestinian factions need to agree on the future of the truce, and that such a sustained truce must include the right for Palestinian resistance groups to use military force when attacked. the brigades urged the palestinian factions to listen to hamas' offer for a pan-factional meeting, and that through such a meeting, a national resistance strategy can be agreed on.
Due to the continued attack-reaction cycle raging in gaza, Israel has kept the borders closed.
The gazan borders have been largely closed since Israel resumed air strikes and invasions on november 4th.
Throughout the month following, Gaza's crossings have only been opened a handful of times for the delivery of humanitarian aid. Because of these increased restrictions, Gaza is now dangerously low on fuel, medical supplies, basic food stuffs and other necessary items.
Al Shifa hospital, Gaza's largest hospital, has announced that after twenty two days of closure, They are now running solely on fuel smuggled through tunnels from egypt which are powering generators.

20th Palestinian Killed Since Israel Resumed Gaza Offensive Attacks
Israeli troops have clashed with Palestinian gunmen along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has said.
Palestinian sources say one Palestinian was killed and four injured.
Israel says its troops identified a group of gunmen trying to place explosives on the security fence that separates betweens Gaza and Israel.
The officials said the gunmen had opened fire as the patrol approached, and soldiers had returned fire.
The clash comes as a five-month truce between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza is looking more and more shaky.
Clashes, an Israeli airstrike and Palestinian rocket fire broke out on 4 November. These have continued since at relatively low levels, though Israel and Hamas officials say they are committed to maintaining the truce.
Hajj visa row
Meanwhile, the Hamas authorities in control of the Gaza Strip have threatened to prevent Muslim pilgrims leaving Gaza to attend the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, unless a dispute over visas is resolved.
Egypt has said it will only allow pilgrims to enter its territory from Gaza if their Saudi visa applications are submitted through the Palestinian Authority.
Since Hamas took over Gaza by force last year, the Palestinian Authority's remit runs only in the parts of the West Bank.
Hamas says it has submitted its own lists of pilgrims to the Saudi authorities for visa approval but Egypt has refused to recognise them.

Israeli airstrike kills two Palestinian teenagers in southern Gaza
Wounded boy
Gaza - Ma'an - Two Palestinian teenagers were killed and four others were injured in an Israeli airstrike in southern Gaza on Tuesday, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Israeli helicopters reportedly launched an attack on the road to the disused Yasser Arafat Airport east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
According to Mu'awiya Hassanein, the director of Ambulance and Emergency Services within the Palestinian Health Ministry, one of the wounded Palestinians is in critical condition at the European Hospital in the Gaza city of Khan Younis.
Medics said the two dead teenagers arrived "torn to pieces" at Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital, in the city of Rafah. Hassanein identified the victims as
15-year-old Ramzi Ad-Duheini and
17-year-old Ahmad Hammad.
Earlier, Israeli military vehicles, including tanks and bulldozers, entered the airport area 200 meters from the border with Israel.
Clashes erupted between invading forces and Palestinian fighters that fired several mortar rounds. Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades said their fighters launched five mortar shells at the vehicles, according to a statement sent to Ma'an.
The Israeli ground forces left on Tuesday morning and returned later in the afternoon around the time of the air raid, sources added.
The Israeli attack came after a homemade projectile fired from the northern Gaza Strip landed in Israeli territory near Gaza, causing no damage. The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) claimed responsibility for that attack.
Also on Tuesday, the Hamas movement began a series of consultations with other Palestinian factions regarding the future of a fragile ceasefire agreement with Israel.
The Egyptian-brokered truce, which went into effect in June, has been undermined by weeks of violence and an ongoing blockade on Gaza's borders. The agreement is due to expire on 19 December.

Mohammad Abu Thraa, 27
Israeli forces kill pardoned Palestinian fighter in Nablus
Nablus - Ma'an - Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man formerly affiliated to the armed wing of Fatah, the Al-Aqsa Brigades, in Balata Refugee Camp in the West Bank city of Nablus at Midnight on Monday.
The man was identified as 27-year-old Mohammad Abu Thraa, a fighter who had been pardoned by Israel as a part of an amnesty agreement with the Palestinian Authority (PA).
Nablus Governor Jamal Muheisin accused Israel of deliberately assassinating Abu Thraa.
Muheisin confirmed that Abu Thraa had, as a part of his amnesty deal, spent time in the PA's Al-Juneid prison. After receiving a formal pardon, he would spend his days in his house, and then would be transported to the prison by a Palestinian Preventive Security bus.
The governor added that there is "no justification" for killing a man already pardoned by Israel. He called the operation "cowardly."
Hundreds of Palestinian fighters, mainly those affiliated with Fatah, have signed amnesty contracts, under which they agree to renounce armed struggle and spend a stint in jail in exchange for a pardon from Israel and a return to civilian life without the fear of pursuit by Israeli forces.
The Israeli army claimed that its forces shot Abu Thraa while attempting to arrest him, and that he died after being transferred to Beilinson Hospital in the Israeli city of Petah Tikva.
While no blood was found at the scene where Abu Thraa was seized, gunshots were heard immediately after the soldiers arrested him.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces seized nine other Palestinians during overnight raids across the West Bank. Sources in the Israeli army reported that they arrested residents of the cities of Jenin, Ramallah and Bethlehem.

Rebheyeh Saleh Al-Qanni "Umm Mazen" 52
Palestinian woman dies of heart attack upon learning that none of sons released by Israel
Nablus - Ma'an - A 52-year-old Palestinian woman died of a heart attack on Sunday when she discovered that none of her three imprisoned sons was to be released by Israel in Monday's prisoner release, her husband said.
Rebheyeh Saleh Al-Qanni, known as "Umm Mazen," was from the village of Kafr Qalil, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus. She was 52.
Her husband, known as Abu Mazen, said that Al-Qanni had travelled to Jordan last week due to failing health. Umm Mazen suffered from diabetes.
Four of her six children are currently in Israeli prisons, and she had hoped that at least one would be released as a part of Israel's unilateral gesture to the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas.
Her son Samer is serving out a 40-year sentence. Another, Hazem Mu'ayed, is serving 25 years. The third, Buraq is sentenced to 15.
Her eldest son, Mazan, spent three years in prison and was released several months ago. She is also survived by a daughter who was not imprisoned.
Umm Mazen's brother, Abu Sharar, was a leader in the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fatah movement, and was killed in 2004 during an Israeli incursion in Nablus.
