UN Votes For Inspecting Israel’s Nuclear Facilities
The United Nations passed, Tuesday, an overwhelming vote calling for inspecting Israel nuclear facilities, and called on Israel to open its facilities for this inspection especially since Tel Aviv never allowed international inspectors access to its nuclear facilities.
The vote passed with 174 votes for the inspection, while six countries voted against, and six abstentions. The vote also calls on Israel to join the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty without further delay.
The countries that voted against the resolution were Israel, the United States, Canada, Palau, Micronesia, and the Marshall Islands.
Although this vote is not legally binding, it plays an important political role among the International Community, and sheds light on Israel’s nuclear facilities that are usually absent in international talks regarding nuclear facilities.
It is worth mentioning that Israel, along with Pakistan, India and North Korea, refuses to become members of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
Israel claims that talks on nuclear weapons cannot be held before a comprehensive peace agreement is reached in the Middle East.

Saudi paper’s support for Israeli nukes stirs public fury
An aerial image of Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility
Saudi state-run newspaper Al-Riyadh has implicitly supported Israel’s nuclear arsenals, sparking fury across the Persian Gulf kingdom.
Yusuf al- Kuwaylit, deputy chief editor of Al-Riyadh, made the remarks in the newspaper’s editorial, after Iran announced its new nuclear achievements on Wednesday.
The Saudi daily alluded to Israel’s stockpile of nuclear weapons and repeated Tel Aviv’s claims that it cannot endure long wars with Arab countries and therefore it requires a “deterrent” force against any alleged military actions by its supposed foes.
The article repeated the West’s allegations that Iran is trying to acquire military nuclear capabilities and argued that since there is no regional threat against the Islamic Republic, it is inexcusable for the country to develop its nuclear technology.
On Wednesday, Iran placed the first indigenous fuel rods into the heart of Tehran Research Reactor and 3,000 new generation centrifuges to its Natanz facility, increasing the production of 3.5 percent enriched uranium by 50 percent.
The United States, Israel and some of their European allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program and have used this pretext to push for four rounds of UN sanctions and a series of unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
Iran has refuted the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful use.
Israel, widely believed to be the sole possessor of a nuclear arsenal in the Middle East with over 200 undeclared nuclear warheads, pursues the policy of "deliberate ambiguity" on its nuclear program.
Tel Aviv has rejected global demands to join the NPT and does not allow IAEA inspectors to observe its controversial nuclear program.

More former Dimona employees with cancer sue for neglect
The number of workers suffering from cancer who have filed lawsuits against the Dimona nuclear plant over the lack of proper safety measures is on the rise.
Victims say the high level of radioactive radiation that they were exposed to at Dimona is the main cause of the cancer that they are suffering from.
So far, over 60 people working at Dimona have filled lawsuit against the site's officials. The victims say officials had assured them that they were protected properly and that the level of harmful radiation was being monitored carefully, but now the opposite has been proven.
The victims are demanding 120,860,000 Shekel (about 32 million dollars) in compensation.
On Monday, 24 more people, diagnosed with cancer, filled lawsuits against the Israel’s Atomic Energy Commission, accusing Dimona officials of deceiving them about their safety and protection.
Earlier this months, a lawsuit by 44 former Dimona workers told an Israeli court that they were sent to search for uranium ore across Israel without the necessary protection and that they were equipped only with goggles and masks that did not protect them from radiation.
The National Insurance, however, refused to recognize their cancer as work-related, claiming that the levels of radiation to which they were exposed were not the cause of their illness.
Dramatic increases in cancer cases, sterility and abnormal births south of the West Bank is said to be linked to a uranium leak at the Dimona nuclear power plant.
The nuclear reactor has become very old after 48 years, with experts warning of that the leakage could reach Jordan, Syria, Egypt and even Libya.

Beyond Chutzpah
By Khalid Amayreh
Puppets and puppeteers
The Holy Quran speaks of some Jews as perpetual war mongers and mischief makers. The current visit to Washington by Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu seems to fit rather perfectly this Quranic description. Zionist leaders are already beating the drums of war against Iran, a country that violated no international laws, attacked no country and waged no war.
Iran is not perfect, and its only "crime" lies in its efforts to catch up with other advanced countries especially in the nuclear field. It is uncertain whether Iran is planning to manufacture a nuclear weapon, but even if this was true, the country of 70 million would have a perfect legitimate right to have all means necessary to deter foes, near and distant, from attacking the Iranian nation.
But Israel, which possesses hundreds of nuclear weapons, readily trained toward Cairo, Tehran and probably Istanbul as well other Muslim towns, is obviously hell-bent on perpetuating its hegemony all over the Middle East. This is why the Jewish state is dead worry about Arab and Muslim countries possessing the means to defend themselves. There is no other honest interpretation of the current showdown between Iran and the Zionist-manipulated America .
Now, Netanyahu and Peres are trying to cajole or perhaps coerce the weak Obama to bomb Iran in order to preserve Israeli military superiority and hegemony in the Middle East. And given the proximity of the American elections, along with AIPAC's annual convention, the rapists of the American people's will are now trying frantically to try to do what they did a few years ago when they got George W. Bush to invade, occupy and destroy Afghanistan and Iraq based on concocted justifications. This time against Iran , of course.
Unfortunately, no American president is likely to withstand or even resist Jewish pressure especially during an election year when presidential candidates salivate for Jewish money and votes. They all transform themselves into obsequious political whores in order to win.
This is why I am afraid the vulnerable puppet Obama will not hesitate to parrot and do everything demanded by the puppeteer Netanyahu. And a few words of unctuousness, sycophancy and flattery from Peres, the ultimate hypocrite, won't hurt.
It is really sad that the fate of nations, let alone the fate of world peace, should hedge on the whims of Jewish billionaires who manipulate America 's power and resources in order to serve Zionist aggression and supremacy.
Of course, all of this impetuousness and arrogance of power will evaporate into nothing one-day and Israel itself will cease to exist. But until that happens, a lot of people will have to suffer.
Lieberman wants to help the Syrians!
The criminally eccentric Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has apparently undergone an altruistic metamorphosis. This week, he was quoted as saying the Nazi-like state would help Syrian refugees who might be fleeing government repression.
This is really beyond Chutzpah. I am not going to say "charity begins at home" or invoke similar clichés, lest I inadvertently accord his remarks a dignity they don't deserve.
But Zionist charity is an existential oxymoron. Indeed, for a country that was established on a foundation of oppression, genocide and ethnic cleansing, and continues to torment and persecute millions of people whose only "guilt" is their being non-members in the exclusive Jewish club, it is beyond chutzpah to cynically use the Syrian tragedy to score some public relation points. It is true that images of pornographic violence keep coming out from Syria . But this doesn't exonerate or vindicate the Zionist entity, whose very existence is the mother of all evils in the region.
Israel is simply too ugly, too filthy and too criminal to be given the benefit of any doubt, and no amount of public relations cosmetics could an inherently ugly face look pretty.
To put it simply, Israel can not fool the world by this game of make believe where by the Jewish state behaves like the Gestapo and SS and wehrmacht in Gaza while trying to mimic Mother Teresa, depending on PR considerations.
What is the difference between "hatikva" and the "Horst Wessel lied"?
Judge Salim Jubran of Israel's Supreme Court, has been vilified and demonized for refusing to sing the Zionist anthem, Hatikva, during an induction ceremony. A number of Israeli Knesset members, commentators and intellectuals have called for his dismissal. Others accused him of disloyalty to the state as if one was expected to celebrate the glory of his people's tormentors and grave-diggers.
Well, Jubran behaved just like any other decent human being would under the circumstances. He knew and understood that for a Palestinian, who has been a constant victim of Jewish racism and fascism, would be very much like a Jew singing the Nazi anthem, the Horst Wessel Lied, especially after the holocaust.
Indeed, I doubt that even a single Jew would have accorded an iota of dignity to Mr. Jubran had he made a fool of himself by signing the hymns of genocidal ethnic cleansing meted out to his people by Zionist Jews.
Jubran, a Christian Maronite, is not an ardent nationalist in the jingoistic sense of the word, and he shouldn't be one. But his dignified refusal to sing the manifestly fascist anthem should be viewed as a monumental moral statement of immense proportions.
Just imagine the moral burden that would have resulted from Jubran's participation in signing hatikva.
It would have meant an effective endorsement of everything the Zionist movement ever said and done.
It would have implied his unreserved endorsement of all the lies surrounding Zionist narratives and all the crimes and atrocities the Zionists have committed ever since Naftali Herz Imber wrote the words of the Zionist anthem long before the establishment of Israel , an entity based on ethnic cleansing, mass murder and mendacity.
Besides, it is plainly clear that hatikva was not written for Jubran and his people It was rather written by Zionists for Zionists for the purpose of arrogating the homeland of another people. Hence, singing this piece of hateful racism, let alone by its victims, would be the ultimate expression of self-depreciation and self-contempt.
It would be tantamount to having Jews celebrate all Nazi goals and "achievements."

Britain was nuked by their own weapons
Maybe all the people that live within an area from Birmingham across to Norwich and down to Bristol, Bournmouth and across to Dover and back up to Norwich were not aware that they may have been exposed, on more than one occasion, to extremely high levels of radiation from the weapons used by the US, UK and coalition forces in and around the Middle East war zones……not to mention the onslaught on Libya that saw an incredible amount of DU weapons being used and also possibly low yield nuclear weapons.
Back in the 1940’s during the Los Alamos nuclear test they discovered a type of poisonous gaseous substance that was emitted from the weapons. The Generals seized this new found substance as a potential people killer that basically would drift on the wind, have no footprint to identify the aggressor and would kill over a long period of time.
A secret memo to Brigadier General Grove clearly showed their intention to carry out mass genocide, mass depopulation and mass infertility using this technology resulting in the development of depleted uranium (DU) weapons as used extensively today in all areas of conflict. If you don’t believe me ask the people of Iraq, especially those living in Fallujah and Basra who may not to be able to ever have a child.
It was in more recent time they seized an opportunity to dispose of the nuclear waste from their nuclear programmes (Uranium 238 or DU) as existing stockpiles were massive and in very poor condition and so it made sense to give it away to the arms manufacturing companies to be used as a penetrator, shaped charged liner or simply for ballast in weapons and aircraft etc.
DU is pyrophoric which basically means it is self igniting at low temperatures around 170 degrees. When it leaves the barrel of a gun it is basically igniting, like tracer bullets. Upon hitting the target it erupts into a massive thermo nuclear type explosion in access of 5000 degrees and emits a huge cloud of radioactive nano-particles in their millions that then drift on the wind.
The UN/WHO state that DU is no risk to our health and it was the UN who carried out an extensive survey in the Balkans after the war which resulted in a rather pathetic report that really didn’t even address the main issue which was total contamination of the war zone making some areas almost totally uninhabitable.
If you were to scan any particle piece of earth where radiation exists in its natural form you would probably get a reading of around 5-15 pulses, on the other hand DU would go up to around 10,000.
When one breaths in the nano-particles from DU it’s extremely easy to become ill with many forms of cancer, especially the unborn fetus and children. One expert stated that breathing in just ten milligrams of uranium oxide dust would exceed any safe limit. From my perspective there is no safe limit of radiation and certainly no one has studied the impact of breathing in DU. A Dr Jack Valentin, stated “If you were actually inside, or immediately outside, the vehicle that's hit by a bullet, and if you survive that hit, you can imagine that person inhaling perhaps a hundred milligrams.”
My comment would therefore be if this is the case with a single bullet imagine the consequences of shells, bombs and cruise missiles that are fired off each and every day that contain thousands of kilograms.
If one can relate to the very high concentrations in the past and current areas of conflict it is fairly obvious what the New World Order is up too via its military arm NATO. Aaron Russo’s interview explain in great detail:
DU evidence simply lies around after every conflict i.e. the Balkans, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, North Pakistan, Lebanon, Gaza, Yemen, Somalia and now Libya. Its detected in damaged tanks, vehicles, spent rounds sitting on the surface, buildings, or simply in the soil. These deadly nano-particles are not only circling the countries of conflict but also adjacent countries and the world. Its half life is 4.5 billion years, every time it rains or snows it comes down to contaminate our soil, crops and water and continues to be stirred up by the weather, gales, sand storms which stretch across continents. Every time we drive or walk on it secondary contamination occurs.
DU weapons go back to the Yon Kippur War 1976 when the US first introduced it to the Israelis. They were also used extensively in the Balkans (1993-1995) by NATO with over 100,000 aircraft sorties. UN claim the main use of DU was only from A10 aircraft which was totally untrue, in actual fact bombarded the region with DU Shells, DU Bombs and DU missiles making the entire region almost uninhabitable. I have a detailed accounts of all weapons used and who used them!! All of the above countries are now suffering catastrophic medical problems.
I made up a chart showing how the upper winds move around the world on a given day and it clearly revealed how depleted uranium can become very mobile and the worlds air currents and jet streams carrying some of this contamination of nano-particles directly over the top of the Himalayas where many of Asia’s main rivers start and the millions of people that depend on those rivers for their survival, one can clearly see the problems that depleted uranium brings to our planet.
Depleted uranium is basically killing all around the world and to give you one very good example is the secret chart that was recovered from the research and development establishment in Aldermaston (Atomic Weapons Establishment) and who monitor via their atmospheric filters that check the level of radiation or DU in the region.
In this graph it shows a base line (normal background radiation) and in several places there were peaks that directly related to events that had taken place in some far away conflict. In this case the peaks related to the US and coalition bombardment of Baghdad (Shock and Awe) and also when the US carpet bombed the Tora Bora mountains in Afghanistan etc. Each time this occurred massive amounts of depleted uranium dust as well as radiation from conventional Tactical Nuclear Weapons. (that were also discreetly dropped) got dumped in the skies over the UK and EU.
The graph proved that the UK was bombarded with extremely high levels of radiation from those conflicts and clearly shows my understanding that any contamination by such radioactive nano-particles does not recognise international borders and is therefore in clear violation of the Geneva Convention.
On one particular occasion I noticed that the contamination was taken up over the Caspian Sea, into Northern Russia where it then tracked westerly over Scandinavia and then down over Norway towards the UK where it got sucked into a very large low pressure area that just so happened to be centred near London. The graph I have in my possession from Aldermaston clearly proves the authenticity of such contamination.
Almost 90% of victims are innocent civilians.
It only takes about 50 tons (45,359 kgs) of DU dust to kill 500,000 people so in the case of Libya for example, during the initial onslaught, it is estimated that the US, UK and France used around 175,000 kgs, imagine at this value alone you are looking at millions of people succumbing to the effects of DU not only within Libya but also in adjacent countries and around the world. The contamination from Baghdad amounted to many thousands of tons of DU and arrived over the skies of the UK within 9 days.
I checked the upper winds during the Libyan War and the contamination from coalition forces was blown westerly over Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco and out over the Mediterranean to Spain, Portugal to Mid Atlantic where it turned 180 degrees and looped back over the UK and Europe, such is the unpredictability of the upper winds.
Finally we can look at two very typical examples to prove that the west is carrying out mass genocide using weapons that violate the Geneva Convention on at least 4 counts, Fallujah and Basra in Iraq have succumbed to extremely high levels of many forms of cancer as a direct result of the weapons used by the US, UK and coalition forces during the [Persian] Gulf Wars.
Falujah experienced a dramatic increase in infant mortality, cancer, leukaemia and birth defects that now exceeds those reported in Hiroshima back in WW2.
Doctors are overwhelmed with very serious birth defects, a four fold increase in adult cancers and a 12 fold increase in childhood cancer. DU directly attacks the DNA and can and does enter the nose-brain barrier resulting in terrible mutations, cancers, brain tumours and severe mental problems.
Infant mortality is 43 times higher than Jordon for example and 8 times higher that Kuwait (which kept some statistics under lock and key). DU was used heavily in Kuwait and the scene of a massive DU accident at the US base, Camp Doha. It was here that a chain of events caused a massive explosion of DU weaponry. The US government said there was no problem but the Kuwaiti Government made the US remove of 7,000kgs of top soil back to the US…….in actual fact this was and still is one huge cover-up as the cancer rates increase in Kuwait.
Fallujah that was declared a US Forces “Free Fire Zone” which assumes that civilians in the region are minimum and so basically one can blast the area with unrestricted fire power, this was a US cover-up because the area was heavily populated as most people stayed indoors and did not venture out. The result was a 38-fold increase in Leukaemia, a 10-fold increase in breast cancer and a significant increase in Lymphoma and Brain Tumours.
What is also known is that the sex ratio is also now unbalanced which indicates Genetic Damage to the population, a typical sign of DU and its horrific consequences. Basra, Afghanistan, North Pakistan, North India are showing the same trend and we can expect the same situation to develop in Libya, the very country that Obama, Clinton, Cameron, Hague and Sarkozy said was all about being a humanitarian crisis and saving lives.
These wars have nothing to do with evil dictatorships but rather forced regime change to install their western friendly puppets who then allow the west to rape those countries of their oil, gas and precious metals.
Israel must be added to this list of scumbags for using the same weapons in Lebanon during the 2006 conflict and again in 2008/9 on Gaza. Israel actually nuked itself when the contamination drifted on the sea breeze from Southern Lebanon over into Northern Israel and again in Gaza when it drifted up the coast and to the east. Maybe they should start asking why there is an increase in cancers and infertility figures. I am sure many residents in Israel would be very shocked to learn of this fact.
On the question of US, UK, France, Israel v Iran, the catastrophic fallout from such an attack would immerse the entire region, including Israel, into very high levels of radioactive particles from Iran’s nuclear facilities, the thousands DU weapons and obviously tactical nuclear weapons that we now know have been used in the past, all within 2-4 days. It would initially cover an area from Turkey to Pakistan/India and from the Caspian down to Somalia!
DU is in violation of the Geneva Convention on at least 4 counts and its usage thus constitutes as being a war crime or a crime against humanity, it is not target specific, drifts on the wind beyond the battlefield and around the world. These are clearly Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Past and current Presidents and Prime Minister such as George Bush Senior and George Bush Junior, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron, their Foreign Ministers, Ministers of Defence and their Israeli counterparts are all guilty of crimes against humanity, including the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon.
The New World Order (NWO) plays a major part in all of these horrific crimes and many False Flags in conjunction with the CIA, MI5/6 and Mossad such as the mass killings at 9/11 and 7/7 (both inside jobs) all in the name of “Geo Politics.”
Zionists and their “Mafia Style Groups” are prepared to let the people of Israel be eliminated if necessary to achieve their goals and one can see a real possibility of this should the US, UK, France and Israel attack Iran

Der Spiegel: Israel arms German submarines with nukes
BERLIN, (PIC)-- The German magazine Der Spiegel said on Sunday that Israel might have outfitted German submarines delivered to it in 1991 with nuclear missiles and plans to do so with other batch of submarines.
Der Spiegel quoted former high-ranking German defense officials as saying they had always assumed Israel would fit the German-built "Dolphin-class" submarines with nuclear weapons.
The social democratic party, the largest opposition party, asked for clarifications from the government of Angela Merkel in this regard.
Spokesman for the party Rolf mutzenich told Der Spiegel that the federal government of Germany has to provide information for its people so they can know if the submarines can be armed with systems capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
For his part, spokesman for Merkel Stephen Siebert said the submarines are delivered unarmed and the government could not speculate if they would be armed later by Israel.
Germany had handed over three of these Dolphin submarines to Israel and intends to manufacture three others more advanced than the earlier ones and they are slated for delivery by 2017.
Germany has largely financed this submarine deal and most of the vessels are for free, according to the newspaper.

German opp. wants govt. to explain for aiding nuclear Israel
German opposition parties have questioned the country’s selling nuclear-armed submarines to Israel.
On Monday, opposition parties called for an explanation from the German government and demanded more transparency on the weapons deals.
"The German government needs to reveal the facts and make a report to the relevant parliamentary committee," German weekly magazine Der Spiegel reported on its website, citing Cem Ozdemir, co-leader of the Green Party.
The country has already built three such submarines for Israel and three more are to be delivered by 2017, while Tel Aviv is considering ordering more such vessels.
The Israeli regime equips the submarines with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, according to a report published by the German weekly magazine, the weekly reported on Sunday. The German government has neither confirmed nor denied the report.
Germany has continued to supply Israel with the submarines, in spite of having been aware of Tel Aviv’s nuclear military activities “for decades,” according to the report.
Israel is widely known to be the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, holding an arsenal of estimated 200 to 300 atomic warheads.
The Sunday report also revealed that German Chancellor Angela Merkel has made huge concessions to Israel, while Berlin’s military assistance to Tel Aviv is largely financed by German taxpayer money.
In a poll conducted by the Berlin-based opinion survey institute, Infratest dimap on April 17 and 18, nearly 48 percent of the 1,000 participants said they regarded Israel as a serious threat to the world peace and global security.
However, Israeli Minister of Military Affairs Ehud Barak has told the weekly that the Germans should be "proud" that they have secured the existence of the Israeli regime "for many years."

US unable to urge Israeli nuclear disarmament: Analyst
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh7pYIy-n4s
The United States has engaged in making newer generations of more powerful deadly atomic bombs.
Press TV has interviewed with Eugene Michael Jones, the editor of the Culture Wars magazine, to discuss the issue with him.
The video also offers the opinions of two additional guests: Walter Wolfgang, vice president of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and also American philosopher, James Fetzer.
What follows is a rough transcript of the interview.
Press TV: The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute or SIPRI, I am quoting them, Dr. Jones, saying that there is fewer but newer nuclear weapons, major powers are continuing to reduce, it says, the stockpiles of nuclear weapons, however they are pursuing weapon modernization programs.
So can we conclude from this that the threat from nuclear arms has increased?
Jones: Well, it is hard to say because nuclear arms once two people had them, namely the United States and Russia, once two people had them, no one would use them again. So it might be a good thing that nuclear arms are proliferating because it prevents other people from using them.
The more people who have them, the less likely I suppose it is that anyone will ever use them. But if you go back historically, I think that the United States lost a great opportunity at the time of the fall of Communism when they could have shown good faith and they could have reduced nuclear armaments but instead they pursued their imperialistic agenda and they forced Russia into a defensive position.
But I think if you look at the recent history, the amount of insecurity has grown so much that people feel that nuclear weapons may be their only line of defense.
If you look at what happened to Libya for example, or if you look at what happened to Iraq, these countries are just plundered, maybe it is because they did not have nuclear weapons. I mean North Korea has not been plundered that way, maybe this is the message that we are getting now.
Press TV: Dr. Jones, right now we are having a revelation in US media, saying that President Obama has been pursuing, alongside of Israel, a plan for a cyber warfare, so to speak, against Iran.
Now we know that the United States is only accusing Iran of having nuclear weapons and there is still no evidence and there has not been up until now by the IAEA or other bodies that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons.
So basically we have the United States as effectively launching a war, a cyber kind of war, on another nation based on its own accusations and at the same time we are seeing that it is modernizing its own nuclear weapons, we can , even say that it is violating the NPT [Non-Proliferation Treaty], the NPT’s Article 6 of course, so where does that put the position of the international law?
Jones: It puts everyone in a position of opposition to law because when you have actions like this, the entire community is obsessed with fears that it is going to happen to them. I mean the United States has a leadership role to play and they can’t expect other people to go along with the rules that they do not want to follow themselves.
On the other hand, I think that the main consideration here with the Obama administration is not to attack Iran, so that Obama can win the elections. In order to not attack Iran and in order to not cave in to pressure from Netanyahu and the Likudniks, he has to take all these other measures to make sure that the American public sees him standing up and being tough to Iran.
These are acts of war but they are not the war themselves and I think that that is part of the game that he is playing now in order to get reelected and in order to give the impression that he is standing up to the Israel lobby at the same time.
Press TV: Dr. Jones in Indiana I would like to put this question to you as well. When we are speaking about those powers that do have nuclear weapons right now; Israel is among those that has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, do you think that there is an effort that can be made - that has not been made - to, at least, force it to sign the NPT and allow for inspections to happen? Why has not that happened?
Jones: I think the only thing that would force Israel to the table would be a nuclear standoff which means that some other country in the Middle East would have to have nuclear weapons. I think that is the only thing that would force Israel to the table, and other than that, no, I do not think anyone can force Israel to the table; the United States certainly could not do that. No politician in the United States could demand that of Israel. It is just politically impossible, certainly now in an election year.

Netanyahu thanks Germany for nuclear-armed submarine sale
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised and thanked German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her commitment to Israel’s security by the recent sale to Tel Aviv of a submarine that is capable of being armed with atomic warheads.
“I take her commitment to Israel very seriously,” said Netanyahu in an exclusive interview with German Bild newspaper on Tuesday. “There is a commitment to Israel’s security that is exemplified by the recent sale of another German submarine, an important adjunct to our national security.”
Asked whether there could be a scenario in which German troops would fight for the Israeli regime, Netanyahu replied, “While I appreciate Germany’s concern for Israel’s security, the most important assistance that can be given to Israel is - to paraphrase Churchill -- to give us the tools and we will do the job of defending ourselves.”
The Israeli premiere went on to reiterate that the sale of the nuclear-capable German submarines to the regime was “very important” for defending Israel’s security.
Although the German newspaper did not mention the capability of the submarine, prominent German news magazine Der Speigel revealed in a report a couple of days earlier that the Israeli regime “is arming the submarines with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles.” The magazine further noted that the German government “has known about Israel’s nuclear weapons program for decades, despite its official denials.”
According to Spiegel, a German shipyard in the northern city of Kiel has already built three Dolphin submarines for Israel, which has been largely paid for by the German government and delivered to Tel Aviv, and deliveries of three more are planned.
The Tel Aviv regime is widely believed to possess hundreds of nuclear warheads. Israel neither denies nor confirms its possession of the atomic arms under its policy of nuclear ambiguity. The regime, furthermore, has never allowed any international inspection of its nuclear sites and persistently refuses to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

German defense minister backs submarine sales to Israel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEC5yy2_bdk
German Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere has defended Berlin’s decision to sell subsidized nuclear-capable submarines to Israel.
Maiziere said that the submarine delivery was no more than continuity with previous German administrations.
Germany has already supplied Israel with three Dolphin-class submarines and another three are to be delivered by 2017. The contract for the sixth submarine was signed only recently.
Germany would subsidize about one-third of the cost of the sixth submarine.
The defense minister added that Berlin’s decision to partially fund the submarines was to underline Germany’s commitment to Tel Aviv security. Berlin’s military assistance to Tel Aviv is largely financed by German taxpayer money.
Germany delivered the first three submarines between 1999 and 2000, two of which it paid for. In 2005, Berlin struck a deal with Tel-Aviv for another two submarines, this time paying a contribution of 333 million euros for both.
Israel is widely known to be the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East, holding an arsenal of estimated 200 to 300 atomic warheads.
The Israeli regime equips the submarines with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, according to a report published by the German weekly magazine, Der Spiegel.
The Dolphins are small, diesel-powered submarines, designed for coastal patrols and are capable of carrying nuclear warheads, which are dangerous for humanity.

Iran raps support for nuclear Israel
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (2nd L) speaks during a press conference on June 21, 2012 on the sidelines of the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has lashed out at Western countries for supporting illegitimate governments in the Middle East, saying nuclear weapons are only a pretext to impede the progress of the Iranian nation.
“They are not against atomic bombs because there are people in our region who even lack the legitimacy to govern but Western countries have equipped them with more than 250 nuclear warheads and are firmly supporting them,” said President Ahmadinejad at a Thursday press conference on the sidelines of the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro.
The Zionists [Israelis] explicitly announce that they possess atomic bombs and use them to threaten nations, he added and stated that “if atomic bombs and their possession are illegal and that no country in the Middle East should possess them, [then] why the Israeli regime and the US government as well as certain European countries who have stockpiled thousands of atomic bombs for themselves are not opposed?”
The Iranian chief executive went on to emphasize that Western countries oppose Iran's progress in scientific and technological fields.
“Nuclear weapons are a mere pretext in their hands to put Iran under pressure and impede or block our nation’s progress,” he pointed out.
He said that Western powers are misusing the UN Security Council and expect that the Islamic Republic would yield to their demands and suspend its nuclear energy program.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly announced that it does not seek to build atomic bombs and no diversion has been proven in our nuclear energy activities,” Ahmadinejad added.
He warned arrogant powers that the path of imposing sanctions against the Iranian people is wrong.

US, Israel main violators of Chemical Weapons Convention: Vahidi
Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi
Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi says the US and the Israeli regime violate the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), urging the complete annihilation of such weapons in the world.
“As the main possessor of chemical weapons, the United States of America, which is itself a member state of the Chemical Weapons Convention, has blatantly violated the CWC by not implementing it,” Vahidi said in a message on the occasion of national day of fighting against chemical weapons on Wednesday.
Undoubtedly, the chemical weapon arsenals of countries which stockpile such weapons are a threat to international peace and security and increase fears about the use or threats to use chemical weapons in the world, ISNA quoted him as saying.
The Israeli regime raises concern about the expansion of chemical weapons by its refusal to permit international organizations to inspect its chemical facilities, he pointed out.
Vahidi stated that the Islamic Republic is the biggest victim of chemical weapons, a gift to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's regime by the Western powers.
During the Iraq-Iran war, the US supplied Saddam with chemical weapons. The former Iraqi dictator used 2,500 tons of chemical weapons against five Iranian border provinces.
Saddam was never tried for war crimes or use of chemical weapons against Iranians. According to experts, chemical weapons can show their full effect almost 25 years later.
Vahidi said Iran seriously calls on the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to make efforts in order to achieve the CWC’s final objectives, including the elimination of all chemical weapons in the world.
The Iranian minister also urged the United Nations to take steps towards the establishment of a world free of weapons of mass destruction including the chemical weapons.
He expressed hope that the international community would do its utmost to implement the CWC so that “we witness a world free of chemical weapons and terrorism in the near future.”

Benjamin Netanyahu involved in smuggling nuclear triggers: Report
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was involved in smuggling nuclear triggers out of the United States carried out by a network of front companies, a report says.
According to a Wednesday article posted on antiwar.com, the FBI partially declassified and released additional pages from a 1985-2002 investigation into how a network of front companies connected to the Israeli Ministry for Military Affairs illegally smuggled triggers used for nuclear weapons (krytrons) out of the United States.
The FBI investigation reveals that Netanyahu worked at Heli Trading Company, the Israeli node of the network during the smuggling operations.
The Israeli premier was in contact with Richard Kelly Smyth, who at the time was president of the MILCO International Inc., a front company for the Israel-based Heli Trading Company, then owned by Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan.
In April 2002, Smyth was sentenced to 40 months in prison and fined 20,000 dollars for trafficking krytrons, tiny electronic devices that are used in high-speed photography, strobe lighting and photocopying machines, but can also be used in nuclear triggers.
Smyth was also indicted for selling about 800 krytrons to Heli Trading Company (also known as Milchan Limited).
“Smyth and [Netanyahu] would meet in restaurants in Tel Aviv and in [Netanyahu’s] home and/or business. It was not uncommon for [Netanyahu] to ask Smyth for unclassified material,” the FBI report said.
In March, the co-authors of the book Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon Arnon Milchan issued a statement saying, “Hollywood mega-producer and former secret agent Arnon Milchan has been asked directly by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres to avoid any public discussion of the book Confidential, asserting that the matter is too sensitive at this time.”

Report: Netanyahu linked to US nuclear tech case
Israeli media reported Friday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was once employed by a front company used to smuggle nuclear technology out of the US.
Maariv, a Hebrew-language Israeli daily, said recently released FBI files showed Netanyahu was employed at the Heli Trading Company during the time of the smuggling operation.
The documents, first revealed by the website Antiwar.com, were from an investigation that began in 1985 into a network of front companies connected to Israel's defense ministry.
They say an American named Richard Kelly Smyth, who was later convicted of involvement in one of the front companies, met with Netanyahu during the events, the website reported.

Israel angered over IAEA vote on nuclear arsenal
West urges Arab states not to target Israel at UN nuclear meet
Activists chant slogans during a news conference denouncing US sanctions on Iran in front of the South Korean foreign ministry on Jan. 17
By Fredrik Dahl
VIENNA (Reuters) -- Western envoys are urging Arab states not to berate Israel over its assumed nuclear arsenal at the UN atomic agency's annual conference, fearing this could imperil wider efforts for a nuclear weapons-free Middle East, diplomats say.
A senior diplomat said Arab countries would criticize Israel but were divided over whether to submit a resolution on the issue to next month's annual General Conference of the United Nations' 154-nation International Atomic Energy Agency.
In a surprise move at last year's IAEA gathering, the Arab group refrained from singling out Israel in this way in what was called a "goodwill gesture" ahead of planned talks in 2012 on creating a zone without nuclear arms in the Middle East.
Israel welcomed this as a "positive" move, in a rare conciliatory exchange in an otherwise heated debate that underlined deep Arab-Israeli divisions on nuclear issues.
Diplomats said Arab states had not yet decided whether to propose a non-binding but symbolically important draft text criticizing "Israeli Nuclear Capabilities" at this year's week-long meeting that starts on Sept. 17.
They expressed concern that an Arab move against Israel would discourage it from attending the talks due to be held later this year on a nuclear arms-free Middle East.
An Egyptian plan for an international meeting to lay the groundwork for the possible creation of a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction was agreed at a review conference on the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 2010.
Bruising battle
But the Western official organizing the conference, Finnish diplomat Jaakko Laajava, said in May he had yet to secure the needed attendance of all countries in the region.
It was a sign of the difficulties involved in getting Israel, its arch-foe Iran and other Middle East nations to sit around a table this year to discuss the divisive issue.
"It is a very fragile process that needs to be launched," one European diplomat said. "Singling out Israel would not at all be helpful, would be counterproductive."
Israel is widely believed to possess the Middle East's only nuclear arsenal, drawing frequent Arab and Iranian condemnation.
Israel is the only Middle Eastern country outside the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Israel and the United States regard Iran as the world's main proliferation threat, accusing Tehran of covertly seeking a nuclear arms capability, something the Islamic state denies.
Arab states scored a diplomatic victory in 2009 when IAEA members narrowly endorsed a resolution urging Israel to join the NPT and place all its atomic sites under agency supervision.
Brought up again in 2010 to keep up pressure on Israel, the resolution was defeated after a bruising diplomatic battle, in which Washington and its allies argued that zeroing in on Israel would harm any hope of banning nuclear arms in the region.
In June this year, Arab states asked for the "Israeli Nuclear Capabilities" issue to be put on the conference agenda, but it remains unclear whether they will follow that with a proposed resolution or refrain, as they did in 2011.
Israel's refusal to become party to the NPT or to place its nuclear installations under IAEA safeguards is "exposing the region to nuclear risks and threatening peace", they said.
Israel has never confirmed or denied having nuclear weapons under a policy of ambiguity aimed at deterrence.
It says it would only join the NPT after a comprehensive Middle East peace settlement. If it signed the 1970 NPT pact, it would have to renounce nuclear weaponry.
An Arab resolution aimed at Israel would "undermine any genuine attempt to promote confidence and security in the Middle East," Israel's ambassador to the UN nuclear body, Ehud Azoulay, said in a letter to IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano.

Syria accuses West of nuclear double standards over Israel
By Fredrik Dahl
VIENNA (Reuters) -- Syria, itself suspected of illicit nuclear activity, accused the West at a major UN meeting on Wednesday of double standards in implicitly condoning an Israeli atomic arsenal and warned of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
The United States said last week Damascus was using the "brutal repression" of its people waging an uprising as an excuse not to address international concerns about its past nuclear work.
UN inspectors have long sought access to a site in Syria's desert Deir al-Zor region that US intelligence reports say was a nascent, North Korean-designed reactor designed to produce plutonium for nuclear weapons before Israel bombed it in 2007.
The UN's International Atomic Energy Agency has also been requesting information about three other sites that may have been linked to Deir al-Zor, which Syria says was a conventional military site.
Syrian Ambassador Bassam al-Sabbagh, in a rare public comment on the issue, insisted that his country was ready to cooperate with the UN agency and he sought to turn the tables on Damascus' accusers by hitting out at Israel.
Israel is believed to have the Middle East's only nuclear arsenal, although it refuses to disclose any capability. Like its ally the United States, Israel insists Iran's nuclear program is the most urgent nuclear proliferation threat.
Clearly referring to Washington and its allies, al-Sabbagh told the IAEA's 155-nation annual assembly in Vienna:
"The fact that some influential states ... condone Israel's possession of nuclear capabilities and its failure to subject them to any international control exposes clearly the extent of double standards used by those states."
'Delicate situation'
He added that this "poses a threat to the region's security and stability and may even spark a nuclear arms race there."
Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful, denying Western suspicions that it wants to develop an atom bomb capability. Syria also denies any such ambitions.
Al-Sabbagh said all Arab states had acceded to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty while Israel was still outside the 1970 pact set up to prevent the spread of atomic weaponry.
"This is the main and only obstacle to the creation of a nuclear weapons free zone in Middle East," he told the IAEA's General Conference, where many speakers had previously accused Syria of stonewalling the stalled IAEA inquiry into its work.
IAEA chief Yukiya Amano said this year that Syria had asked for understanding of its "delicate situation" in response to requests for Syrian cooperation with his inspectors.
President Bashar Assad is fighting a 18-month-old revolt in which more than 27,000 people have been killed.
Israel has said it would sign the NPT and renounce nuclear weapons only as part of a broader Middle East peace deal with Arab states and Iran that guaranteed its security.

Israel will not attend nuke-free Mideast summit in Finland
Israel says it will not attend a conference on creating a nuclear-free Middle East, which is scheduled for December in Finland, despite Tel Aviv's reputation as the region’s sole wielder of nuclear arsenals.
The head of Israel's Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) announced the decision, claiming that the situation in the Middle East was not yet "conducive" to the creation of a nuclear weapons-free zone, AFP reported Thursday.
"The concept of a region free of weapons of mass destruction, that has never been put to the test, even in the most peaceful regions of the world, is certainly much less applicable to the current volatile and hostile Middle East," Shaul Horev told a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna on Wednesday.
"Such a process can only be launched when peaceful relations exist for a reasonable period of time in the region," Horev stated, insisting that the drive for a nuclear weapons-free Mideast must come from within the region, and "cannot be imposed from outside."
Earlier this year, Finnish representatives held talks with Israeli leaders to convince TEl Aviv to attend the meeting.
Israel, which has pursued a policy of ambiguity over its military nuclear program with the help of the United States, is not a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which governs and restricts the development of nuclear technology.
Israel is widely known possesses 300 to 400 nuclear warheads, 80 of which remain in high operational alert, according to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, that is, they are ready to fire.
UN chief Ban refrains from addressing Israel’s nukes
Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon has evaded a question on the necessity to inspect Israel’s nuclear facilities, saying the Iranian nuclear issue is the question at hand.
“Now, the current issue is on how the international community should address the Iranian nuclear issue,” Ban told reporters during a press conference on Wednesday.
He stressed the importance of building international trust and confidence about Iran's nuclear energy program and expressed hope that the issue would be settled through negotiations.
I welcome this recent meeting between the P5+1 and Iran in Istanbul. I sincerely hope that they will continue to resolve this issue through dialogue,” the UN head added.
He was referring to a meeting between Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, who represents the P5+1 - Russia, China, France, Britain, the US and Germany - in a follow-up to their previous negotiations on Iran’s nuclear energy program. The meeting took place in the Turkish city of Istanbul late on Tuesday.
Ashton and Jalili last met in Moscow in June. At the heart of the Moscow negotiations was Iran’s nuclear energy program, with Tehran standing firm on its inalienable right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the 16th NAM Summit in Tehran on August 30, Ban called on Tehran to continue cooperation with the UN nuclear agency and negotiations with the P5+1 in an attempt to resolve concerns over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear energy program.
He also advised the P5+1 to avoid using threats as a means of resolving Iran’s nuclear issue.
Israel has repeatedly threatened to attack Iran's nuclear facilities based on the unsubstantiated allegation that the Islamic Republic is seeking to produce nuclear weapons.
Iran argues that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, it is entitled to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
The IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities but has never found a shred of evidence showing that Iran's civilian nuclear program has been diverted to nuclear weapons production.
Unlike Iran, Israel a non-signatory to the NPT which continues to defy international calls to join the treaty, is widely believed to possess between 200 to 400 nuclear warheads.
Arab nuclear 'goodwill gesture' fails to impress Israel, US
By Fredrik Dahl
VIENNA (Reuters) -- Arab states said on Thursday they had decided as a "goodwill gesture" to refrain from targeting Israel with a resolution over its assumed nuclear arsenal at the UN atomic agency's annual assembly this week.
Arab envoys said the move was in support of wider efforts to rid the region of nuclear weapons, but it drew no public praise from Israel or the United States, which criticized the placing of the issue on the agenda in the first place.
Addressing a debate on "Israeli nuclear capabilities" called by the Arab countries, a senior US diplomat said Washington was firmly committed to the goal of a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction.
However, "using meetings of the IAEA to single out Israel for censure will not take us one step closer to that goal. In fact, it is a step in the opposite direction," Robert Wood told the meeting of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency.
"Repeatedly invoking this issue only serves to reduce trust and confidence among states in the region and to distract the agency's attention from serious issues of ongoing non-compliance by two other states in the region," Wood said.
That was a reference to Iran and Syria, which are under investigation by the IAEA over their disputed atomic activities.
Israeli ambassador Ehud Azoulay said: "It is Iran which represents the greatest threat to peace and security in the Middle East and beyond ... Pointing an accusing finger toward Israel will not change this somber reality."
Arab states had sharply criticized Israel but said they would not put forward a non-binding but symbolically important resolution calling on Israel to join the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and place all its atomic sites under IAEA oversight.
They said this was decided so as not to undermine an Egyptian-proposed conference later this year to discuss the creation of a zone free of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.
Western diplomats had said that a resolution aimed at Israel would dash any hopes of it taking part in those talks.
'Clandestine nuclear activities'
Russia welcomed what it described as a "constructive signal" by Arab states ahead of the meeting which may be held in Helsinki in December.
Even if it does go ahead -- Israel and Iran have yet to say whether they will attend -- Western diplomats expect little progress any time soon due to deep-rooted regional animosities.
Israel has drawn frequent Arab and Iranian condemnation over its presumed nuclear arsenal, and it is the only regional state not to belong to NPT, a 1970 pact set up to prevent the spread of atomic arms in the world.
Israel's "clandestine nuclear activities seriously threaten regional peace and security", Iranian ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh told the 155-nation IAEA assembly.
Israel and the United States regard Iran as the world's main proliferation threat and accuse Tehran of covertly seeking a nuclear arms capability, something the Islamic state denies.
Arab states scored a diplomatic victory in 2009 when IAEA members narrowly endorsed their resolution on Israel. It was defeated in 2010 after a bruising diplomatic battle and was not submitted last year.
Israel has said it would sign the NPT and renounce nuclear weapons only as part of a broader Middle East peace deal with Arab states and Iran that guaranteed its security.
The country, which has never confirmed or denied having nuclear weapons under a policy of ambiguity aimed at deterrence, has made clear it believes the volatile region is not yet ready for the creation of a zone free of atomic arms.
As in previous years, the IAEA conference adopted with a wide majority an Egyptian-proposed resolution calling on all Middle East states to join the NPT, but without mentioning Israel by name. Israel and the United States were among eight countries that abstained, while 111 states backed it.
