Five Palestinians killed in Al Yamoun, near Jenin
Wednesday at dawn, under-cover forces of the Israeli army shot and killed five Palestinians in Al Yamoun town, west of Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank. At least sixteen residents were taken prisoner in the village and several surrounding areas.
An Israeli military source said that elite units operating in the village, spotted a group of gunmen and opened fire at them.
Meanwhile, local sources reported that three of the five Palestinians killed on Wednesday were in fact executed after the under-cover forces shot and injured them before they took them to a nearby house and executed them.
Dr. Eyad Samara from Al Yamoun told the IMEMC that the under-cover forces invaded the town at 2:30 at dawn, surrounded a house, where the fighters were hiding, and fired Energa bombs that cause massive fire.
The under-cover forces occupied some houses and order the residents to remain silent or be killed; the houses are overlooking at a house where the fighters usually gather, Dr. Samara stated.
“Three of them were injured in their feet, and were taken by the army to a nearby house”, Dr. Samara added, “They were executed in cold blood at that house”.
Dr. Samara added that the soldiers barred the medics and himself from reaching the injured residents, “before the casualties were taken to a nearby house and were executed before the army evacuated from the town”.
“It was impossible for us to reach them, three of them were injured in their legs, the neighbors managed to talk to them, we could have saved their lives because their suffered mild injuries”, Dr. Samara added, “We could have gave them first aid before taking them to a hospital, but the army took them to a nearby house and killed them”.
Two residents were killed in the attack, one of them was standing on his balcony; both were shot in the head.
Palestinian medical sources in the Jenin Governmental Hospital identified the five as Taher Abahra, 29, Salim Abu Al Haija, 26, Ala' Khamaisa, 25, Mahmoud Rajeh Abu Al Hasan, 29, and Ayman Abu Suleiman, 32, all from Al Yamoun.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops broke into dozens of homes, searched them and took at three residents prisoner, soldiers claimed uncovering two automatic rifles, a gun and weapons in the houses of the three residents.
Last week, resident Ahmad Abu Hasan was hot and killed by the Israeli army in Al Yamoun during a similar invasion.
Eleven residents, including five brothers, were also taken prisoner in the village and the nearby Qabatia town and the village of Al Zababda and took several residents prisoner.
According to local sources, the following residents were taken prisoner in Al Yamoun; Ibrahim Mahmoud Nawahda, Mohammad Yousef Abu Al Haija, both members of the Al Aqsa brigades and were taken prisoner after they were shot and injured, Salim Awwad Abu Al Haija, 21, Farah Khamaisa, Ahmad Lutfi Labdi, Yasser Arafat Shahin, Mohammad Salim Tahwoosh, and addition to five brothers identified as Salah, Bashar, Mohannad, Shadi and Mojahid Abu Suleiman.
In Qabatia town, troops took prisoner three residents, including two brothers; there were identified as Bilal and Ahmad Mustafa Al Zay, and Idrees Kamil Kameel.
Also, troops abducted the Imam of Al Zababda mosque, Sheikh Taha Najih Sharqawi, after stopping him at a temporary checkpoint, and took him to an unknown destination.

B'Tselem: “Grave suspicion of extrajudicial execution of two wounded Palestinians, 8 Nov. 06”
On November 8, 2006 at around 2:00 am, under-cover units of the Israeli army shot and killed five Palestinians in Al Yamoun village, near Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank. The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories (B'Tselem) investigated the death of two residents, and after comparing it to the army's story, found out a completely different version of events.
The two residents were identified as Salim Abu al-Heijah and Mahmoud Abu Hassan in Al Yamoun village, near Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank.
The Israeli army reported that soldiers carried a joint operation of the military and the Government Security Services (GGS), and killed five “terrorists” from Al Yamoun village, according to the Israeli report.
The statement did not reveal any circumstances of the incident, but stated that soldiers e\searched the site and found weapons, and ammunition.
Eyewitnesses told B'Tselem investigators that at 1:30 two wounded young men knocked on their door after they were shot and injured by the army. The two were wanted by the Israeli military; the family provided them with first aid and covered them with blankets.
After about 20 minutes, a military jeep came to the house. Soldiers threw a stun grenade and called through a loud speaker for the family to open the gate of the courtyard. The father of the family opened the gate and the soldiers from within the jeep ordered the family to come out of their rooms into the courtyard. All of the family sat in the courtyard facing the gate, according to the soldier's orders.
At this point, Abu al- Heijah lay in the doorway of a room next to the gate, with the upper half of his body inside and his lower half in the courtyard. He was wounded in the thigh. Abu Hassan lay facing him, in front of the gate, wounded in the stomach.
Three soldiers entered the house, stepped over Mahmoud Abu Hassan and went into the room where Abu Heijah lay. After a minute or two, the family heard one or two shots. It turned out that these shots hit Abu Heijah and killed him. Immediately afterward two family members, Bashar and Muhannad Kabala, saw a soldier shoot Abu Hassan. Mohannad saw the gun barrel protruding from the room and saw the bullet hit Abu Hassan; Bashar saw the spark as the gun was fired.
B'Tselem's investigation indicates that Salim Abu al-Heijah and Mahmoud Abu Hassan were executed by soldiers while they lay wounded, unarmed and posed no risk to the soldiers. The fact that the soldiers did not shoot the men immediately upon entering the house, did not search the bodies nor tie their hands, strengthens the indication that the soldiers did not perceive them to be a threat. As stated above, the soldiers stepped over Abu Hassan, went into the adjacent room and only about two minutes later did they shoot the two wounded men at close range.
Arrest of suspects to a crime, however severe the crime may be, is an act of law enforcement which is of a policing nature, even when carried out by soldiers. Opening fire in such circumstances is allowed both according to international law and Israeli law, only for self-defense or to prevent the suspect from fleeing.
The killing of the two wanted men in Al- Tamoun under the circumstances suggested by the investigation clearly contravenes these powers.
Furthermore, even if the operation in Tamoun was part of combat rather than law-enforcement activities, as Israel often claims, the killing of the two men constituted a grave breach of the laws of war in international humanitarian law. These laws categorically prohibit willful killing of combatants who can no longer defend themselves due to injury, and do not pose a danger to those who would arrest them. Such a killing is defined as a war crime.
This incident in Al- Yamoun is not the first of its kind. In May 2005, B'Tselem released a report that examined four operations conducted in the previous year to arrest Palestinians wanted by Israeli forces. The report indicated that soldiers behaved in these operations as if they were conducting assassinations rather than arrest operations, in blatant violation of International Humanitarian Law.
In two of the cases, Israeli forces had already "neutralized" a person defined as wanted, and subsequently shot him to death. In the first case, soldiers shot a man who had raised his arms in surrender. In the second case, soldiers killed a man who had been injured, and was lying unarmed on the ground.
In light of its findings, B'Tselem wrote to the Judge Advocate General demanding the immediate opening of a military police investigation into the incident in Al-Yamoun.

Bloody Day in Palestine, what is the reaction
At least 25 Palestinians have been killed in less than one day. 20 mostly civilians were killed in Beit Hanoun in Gaza Strip and five in Al-Yamoun near Jenin. Most of the victims were civilians, in a military operation called “Autumn Clouds” which followed “Summer Rains.”
In Beit Hanoun, 11 of the dead belong to the same family and the rest were their neighbors who were all killed by the Israeli shells.
Palestinians described the Beit Hanoun massacre as a war crime and declared the situation in the town catastrophic, while Israelis said we do not target civilians but mistakes happen. This was not all; Israeli military officials said they will continue attacks against Beit Hanoun despite the massacre, saying it is aimed at stopping the home-made Qassam shells which Israel calls them “Rockets”.
The international community is silent about it.
Some Palestinian leaders, from Fatah and Hamas said Palestinians should resume the suicide attacks against Israel because it did not stop its attacks against Palestinians.
International community will condemn the call for suicide bombings, even if no bombing will take place. They also might send an envoy to the region to warn against using the suicide bombings.
The Palestinian Government is under siege, scores of ministers and parliament members are in Israeli jails, some of their homes are bombarded, the Wall Israel is building is shrinking the West Bank into half. All Palestine is under siege.
All the Arab countries are silent and some are mediating to release the Israeli soldier captured in Gaza Strip five months ago.
When Israel launched Summer Rains, it aimed at releasing the captured soldier. They killed nearly 300 Palestinians in four months. “Autumn Clouds” killed so far 90 Palestinians in one week.
Again, the deadly attack in Beit Hanoun foils efforts to form a National Unity Government in Palestine.

Two fighters of the Al Qassam Brigades killed by Israeli air strike east of Gaza
Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Wednesday at night that two Palestinians, members of the Al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas movement, were killed in Al Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, after the Israeli air force fired a missile at their car.
The sources identified the two as Ahmad Awad Rajab, 32, and Ramzi Yousef Sh-heiber, 22. The car was completely burnt from the blast especially since it carried homemade shells.
The Al Qassam Brigades stated that Rajab is the head of the Qassam homemade shells manufacturing unit.
Dr. Jom'a Al Saqqa, head of the Public Relations Office at the Al Shifa Medical Compound said that the bodies of the two residents were severely mutilated as a result of the blast.
An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed the attack and said that “a top Hamas member responsible for firing and manufacturing homemade shells was killed in the strike”.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, twenty civilians, fourteen of them were members of the same family, including eight children, were killed and at least forty were injured after the Israeli army shelled a civilian area in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip; eight of the killed are children. At least fifty residents were injured in the attack.
On Wednesday at dawn, under-cover forces of the Israeli army shot and killed five Palestinians in Al Yamoun town, west of Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank.

UNICEF: Renewed violence in Gaza raises serious concerns for children’s safety
Renewed violence in Gaza is again raising serious concerns about the welfare of civilians, including children. Over the past week, the armed conflict has claimed the lives of an estimated 68 Palestinians – including 18 reportedly killed in shelling as Israeli tanks withdrew from the town of Beit Hanoun before dawn today.
“The situation in northern Gaza, and in particular in Beit Hanoun, is very serious and is getting worse,” UNICEF Representative in the Occupied Palestinian Territory Dan Rohrmann said earlier this week. “There are tanks everywhere, shelling, house demolitions and there is fighting in the streets. People are getting quite desperate.
“The children are terrified by everything going on, including seeing family members being taken away,” added Mr. Rohrmann.
Overall, at least 350 people have been wounded in the recent Gaza incursion, and 14 children have been killed. Since the beginning of this year, over 100 children have died in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – more than twice the total killed in 2005.
Food, water, medicines run low
Beit Hanoun, with a population of about 35,000 – more than half of whom are children – has been sealed off and remains under curfew. The western part of the city is without electricity and water service to some 10,000 people.
Food supplies are running out because markets and shops cannot renew their stocks. At the same time, aid organizations have been prevented access to some of the most deprived areas.
“Health is a major issue, and at the moment people do not have access to primary health care facilities due to the curfew, the lack of health staff and the lack of drugs. People fear leaving their homes to go to health clinics,” explained Mr. Rohrmann.
Call for ‘unhindered access’
To address this humanitarian crisis, UNICEF has been working closely with partners such as the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Agency, the World Food Programme and the International Committee of the Red Cross/Red Crescent.
The partner agencies are providing food and water, and have helped repair water systems. UNICEF has been distributing family water kits as well as baby hygiene kits, which are especially needed by those who do not have access to safe water and by families with young, vulnerable children.
“The most important thing right now is to stop the violence and to guarantee that the UN and NGOs have got unhindered access to Beit Hanoun in order to deliver the critical assistance that is needed,” asserted Mr. Rohrmann. And in a statement issued after today’s violence in Beit Hanoun, UNICEF reiterated its conviction that protecting civilians in such circumstances is an obligation under international law.
Tim Ledwith contributed to this story.

Three-Day Mourning Period For Gaza Victims Begins Thursday
Seven days later and over 80 Palestinians dead, Palestinians living inside Israel, the West Bank and Gaza Strip participate in the first of a three-day mourning period to remember those killed. It was only yesterday that Beit Hanoun residents woke to an Israeli artillery bombardment of the worst kind since the start of Operation Summer Rains this past June.
Local residents are spending the day holding funerals and comforting one another. Below are some comments from Beit Hanoun residents.
Beit Hanoun resident Mona Al Zanoiun wants to know where the international community and Security Council is in the midst of all this. “We do not want them to send us food; we want them to take brave actions to stop these crimes.”
Another resident, Mohamed ‘Athamneh talked about Israel’s pull out from Gaza: “The Israeli army claims to have pulled out from our town. They are not physically here but their smell, the feeling of them, is still here. They continue their brutal horrific massacres of civilians in Beit Hanoun and in all the Palestinian territories. They want to achieve victory here after they were defeated in south Lebanon. They only understand the language of force. They are vampires who don’t know mercy. The bodies of children are scattered in pieces. God be with us! The whole world turns a blind eye.”
Nidal Mater, 53, said, “Once again they commit massacres against civilians, but they will not break our spirits. We will not leave our land. All of us ready to die for the sake of freedom."
He added, “They use their arsenal to kill children and women. They are cowards...We will never forget. Where is their democracy? I just wonder, are they just human beings like us? They destroy our agriculture fields, water, electricity networks and infrastructure. We cannot recognize our streets, destruction is everywhere, and even the mosques which are considered holy places are destroyed!”
Mahmoud Nasser, 33, said, “All of Beit Hanoun is busy with only one thing: moving the dead and wounded. All this between puddles of blood, lots of blood and body parts, next to some of the bodies were the schoolbags and sandwiches of children preparing to go to school.”
A man described what happened through tears, “We lost our homes, members of our family, loved ones and they destroyed our agricultural fields, citrus trees and olive trees which is our only income. Today Palestinians are again united against one enemy."

Israeli Snipers Killing U.S. Troops in Iraq
Abu Graib prison guard flag
Source: CNN / Joanna Francis
Anderson Cooper of CNN showed this video of snipers killing U.S. troops in Iraq on his October 18, 2006 show. CNN says it obtained the video from a representative of an unnamed insurgent leader. Bear in mind that Anderson Cooper used to work for the CIA.
Richard Wilson's hypothesis: Israeli soldiers and/or Mossad agents are killing our soldiers in Iraq in order to enrage American troops so that the slaughter continues.
Proof: At the very beginning of this video clip, you see a rifle with a video camera attached to it. This weapon is made by the Rafael company, an Israeli arms manufacturer, that also makes IEDs. If you watch the video all the way through, it explains how this rifle works. CNN stated that the camera used to film these shootings was not a mounted rifle camera. But as you watch the video, you see that with each shot fired, the camera recoils.
That would only happen if it were mounted on the rifle. Why is this significant? Because this kind of rifle-camera is extremely sophisticated and not available to your average Iraqi insurgent. I mean, it's not exactly an easily obtainable Saturday night special! Something this sophisticated points to Mossad.
Mossad is a master at false flag operations, e.g., Oklahoma City, the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, the bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, the July 7, 2005 London bombings, the 9-11 attacks in New York, the assassination of the Prime Minister in Beirut, the stoking of Muslim riots in France last year, the bombing of the Hassan al-Askari Mosque in Samarra, Iraq, etc.
Israelis freely move among US and UK troops in Iraq, and have access to top-level US intelligence. Until July 2003, the head of all US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan was General Tommy Franks, a Zionist Jew. (He is now on the board of directors for Bank of America.) On November 7, 2006 another Zionist Jew became a principle liaison between Mossad and US forces in Iraq: Major General Richard F. Natonski of the Marine Corps. His title is Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies and Operations.
Because of this access, the insurgents (i.e., Mossad agents) know exactly where US vehicles will be and who will be inside them. This allows them to target for maximum false flag effect.
For example, on July 23, 2005, a detachment of 19 female US Marines was sent to Fallujah to check Iraqi women for bombs. An IED blew up their truck. Two of the young American women were killed, five were critically wounded, and four were captured. The bodies of the four captured women turned up later in a garbage dump with their throats cut. Americans were outraged. Islamic clerics insisted that only Israelis could be so cold-blooded. And who was in charge of US forces in Fallujah at the time? None other than Major General Natonski, the Mossad liaison.
Americans are supposed to believe that rag-tag insurgents use IEDs powerful enough to kill three US troops per day, on average. An American soldier even set up a blog on how Intel is betraying and targeting US troops. But sometimes Mossad bomb-makers accidentally blow themselves up in Iraq.
According to Richard Wilson, Israeli sniping and IEDs are false flag operations. He says that on March 28, 2005, Americans arrested 19 Mossad agents who fired twice on a US Marine checkpoint. The Marines beat up the Mossad agents and tore off their Star-of-David necklaces. (The US media incorrectly said the agents were Americans.) The Mossad agents said they were employees of Zapata Engineering, which helps the CIA conduct interrogations, and also manages US ammo dumps and US motor pools in Iraq.
IEDs in Iraq are powerful enough to flip over a 70-ton tank. Some of the models shoot depleted-uranium projectiles, and are triggered by electronic devices surreptitiously planted on US armored vehicles. Zapata Engineering (which employs Mossad agents) makes this exact kind of trigger, and oversees some of the US motor pools.
Rumsfeld says the IEDs come from Iran, but Richard says they come from Mossad, and are not improvised at all. The Israeli company, Rafael (see above), makes IEDS, which are buried in the middle of a road. Beside the road is a device which emits a laser or radio signal. This device is manufactured by firms like Zapata Engineering, which is controlled by Zionist Jews. The IED mine, manufactured by Israel, is inert until a US vehicle (secretly planted with a triggering device) rolls over it.
Whenever Mossad carries out these false-flag operations they produce a videotape or a recording from an unnamed source that is close to al-Qaeda. Sometimes they say the claim was posted on an Internet website, but its authenticity could not be verified.
But Israelis would never kill anyone in cold blood, would they? After all, the USS Liberty massacre was an accident!

Casualties of the Beit Hanoun Israeli shelling are civilians including eight children
Saed Bannoura – IMEMC, November, 8, 2006, 13:49
Twenty Palestinians were killed and at least forty were injured after the Israeli army shelled a civilian area in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Eight of the killed are children, all of the casualties are family members and relatives.
All of the killed residents are civilians, they were sleeping in their homes when the Israeli army shelled the civilian area.
The bodies of the casualties were severely mutilated as a result of the shelling, while the injured residents were sent to four hospitals across the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Israel claimed that the shelling was not intended to hit the civilian houses, although initial sources claimed that the target was an areas where Qassam homemade shells are fired into Israeli areas.
Israel's Foreign Minister, Tzipi Livni , “expressed regret for the deaths”.
A senior Israeli military source confirmed that the army fired twelve shells and that the artillery fire was intended to hit an area half a kilometer from the houses of Beit Hanoun.
The source stated that “so far it is unclear whether this is a human error or a technical error”, and added that the main assumption now is that the artillery unit was given wrong coordinates.
Israeli online daily, Haaretz, reported that the Israel Army Forces Chief of Staff, Dan Halutz, appointed Major General Meir Kalifi to head an investigation into the shelling.
The shelling to the civilian area continued for 15 minutes.

Palestinian child blown to pieces by Israeli shell, teen dies of wounds sustained Wednesday
In the town of Beit Hanoun, the site of an Israeli shelling that killed eighteen civilians on Wednesday, another child was killed Sunday by the ongoing Israeli shelling of the town. And an eighteen-year old boy who was critically injured in Wednesday's shelling died today of his injuries, making the death toll since the invasion started last week reach 75., one-third of whom are children.
Medical sources reported that a group of students were targeted by the Israeli shelling on Sunday, in the western part of Beit Hanoun, near Balsam Hospital. One was blown to pieces, and was eventually identified as Moussa Ahmed Zahd, 14, from Al Shaima' area in Beit Lahiya. Two other boys in the crowd were severely injured. They were identified as Abdullah Abu Namous, 17, and Ramzi Ibrahim, 22.
Local witnesses identified the shrapnel as being from a surface-to-surface missile, a weapon made in the U.S.A. and used by Israel to regularly fire into heavily-populated civilian areas of Palestine.
Israeli military officials claimed to have targeted, and successfully hit, "a terrorist standing near rocket launchers." But local witnesses report no terrorists, and no rocket launchers anywhere in the area, only a group of high school and university students going home from school.
Israeli sources report that the missile was fired into Beit Hanoun after a homemade shell landed in Moshav Nativ Haasara in southern Israel, causing no damage. The sources claim that the shell was fired from somewhere near Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
Also on Sunday morning, Mohammed Nabil, 18, died of wounds sustained during the massive attack on Beit Hanoun Wednesday that killed 18 people.
Nabil had been transported to an Israeli hospital on Wednesday, and died of his wounds on Sunday. His body was returned Sunday to Gaza, where his family (who were unable to visit him in the Israeli hospital) plan to bury him later today.
