Millions of American families lost their homes to foreclosure over the past five years.
According some reports, close to 9 million homes entered the foreclosure process between January 2007 and last month. Out of those, 4-point-3 million properties ended up foreclosed-upon.
Now, activists are calling for a moratorium on foreclosure and proper action against the banks that they hold responsible for creating the crisis in the first place.

Israeli army tests different sounding sirens for the "non-conventional attacks"
Hebrew press sources revealed that the IOF has been developing new ways to train the population to deal with "the serious non-conventional threats"
Israel Hayom newspaper stated: "The IDF Home Front Command conducted two experiments in the past month to test a new siren in case of a chemical weapon attack against Israel. The siren would emit a different sound than the conventional siren people are accustomed to, and would signal an incoming missile fired at Israel armed with a chemical warhead."
The newspaper quoted sources in the army as saying that: "The Home Front Command said the idea was to allow people to differentiate between different types of attacks and respond accordingly", noting that "If indeed a "chemical" siren was sounded, people would know to don their gas masks, which have been distributed to the public in recent months."
The Home Front Command said that the new sirens are still in testing stage. In recent days the Population Department of the Home Front Command has been analyzing the results of the experiments, and it is likely that further tests with more sounds will be held. In the meantime, the regular siren will be used in case of a rocket or missile attack.

FM to MK El-Sana: Terrorist, I'll take care of you first
During visit to Bedouin village to inspect illegal construction, FM Lieberman attacks MK El-Sana: Arab leadership represents terrorists; Arab MK accuses Lieberman of being member of mafia.
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman (Yisrael Beiteinu) engaged on Wednesday in a shouting match with Knesset Member Talab El-Sana (United Arab List-Ta'al) while visiting the Bedouin village of Al Zarnog in the Negev.
El-Sana accused Lieberman of being a "member of the mafia," and claimed he had no business being in the village. The minister in turn said: "You're a terrorist… I'll take care of you first."
The foreign minister was visiting the town in order to examine the illegal construction in the place. During his visit, he said that the law should apply equally to all, including Jews and Arabs.
Lieberman did not enter the village, but rather examined its construction from afar in effort to avoid aggravating the local community. Nevertheless, Lieberman still managed to verbally attack El-Sana, saying "you're not representing the Bedouin community. The Arab leadership represents terrorist organizations. They don't care about the Bedouins…You support Assad."
El-Sana quickly interrupted the foreign minister, calling him a racist. "Since when are you so interested in the Bedouins' problems? You came here in order to fan the flames," El-Sana said.
The minister visited the town on behalf of the right-wing advocacy group Regavim, which deals with Bedouins' property issues and illegal construction on Jewish land. According to the organization, the Bedouin village of Al Zarnog was built on privately owned Jewish land.
During his visit, Lieberman further addressed the dispute over the alternatives recently suggested to replace Tal Law, which regulated haredim's IDF service. He denied the rumored possibility that Netanyahu's coalition could fall apart. "The haredi parties understand that if there's no other option, they can't possibly continue to make demands but must accept the majority vote."

Author: Israel can claim the title of the most racist state in the developed world
By Revital Hovel
Israeli culture is no less toxic than fanatic Islam, and the country’s discriminatory attitude toward Mizrahi Jews and Arabs qualifies it for the title of “most racist state,” prominent Israeli author Sami Michael said on Monday.
“Israel can claim the title of most racist state in the developed world,” Michael, who heads the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, said at the opening of an international conference of the Association for Israel Studies at Haifa University.
“More than 60 years after the establishment of the Israeli state, the rift between European and Mizrahi Jewry has not mended. It is reflected in racism and social gaps,” the author said.
“To this day people from Arab states are underrepresented in the state’s central institutions, especially academic and cultural ones,” he said.
The racism is encouraged by cabinet members and MKs, and fueled by increasing religious extremism in the country, he said.
Michael also criticized the social inequalities in Israel and what he characterized as the failure of the left to adequately contend with these issues.
“Israel is in danger unless its leadership understands it isn’t located in Europe’s tranquil north but in the Middle East’s seething center,” said Michael. “We may lose everything. Israel could be a transient construct, like the First and Second Temples.”
Michael said Israeli children are trained to hate the other.
“Israeli culture is no less poisoned than the fanatic Islamic factions,” he said.
“From kindergarten to old age we feed our children hatred, suspicion and disgust toward the stranger and the other, and especially toward the Arabs,” he said.
He called the occupation “disaster incarnate” for Israel.

AOHR: “Israel”, the sole country to have legalized the use of torture
LONDON,(PIC)-- The Arab Organization for Human Rights in Britain (AOHR) said that "torture is a crime that violates seriously human rights whether it is committed against an individual or a group," stressing on the role of national courts, in any country regardless of where the crime was committed or the nationality of the offender, to provide the victims with justice.
AOHR called on the international human rights organizations, in a statement on Tuesday on the International Day against Torture, to bring lawsuits against perpetrators of torture, whoever they are. The organization added that such a step would certainly help to eradicate this disease the effects of which are known only to a few.
The organization expressed concern about the suffering of the Palestinian people who are tortured under the occupation, where the statement said that the Palestinian people have been subjected to all forms of torture under occupation for decades, confirming that torture is practiced in broad daylight by Israel which is almost the only country that has laws and courts that allow torture, where hundreds of Palestinians have been exposed to the most heinous methods of torture in interrogation centres.
The human rights organization hailed the Arab people who "asserted their authority in the region through toppling the cruelest regimes that practiced tortured systematically against their own citizens in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya,” adding that “the main reason behind the toppling of the Egyptian regime is its systematic torture in its prisons against innocent citizens, many of whom died under torture, where the revolution spark was the killing of Khaled Said of Alexandria under torture during his detention.”

Report: Police intelligence told to target Israeli Arabs joining social protests
Unlike the directives about Jewish demonstrators, which focus on rioters and anarchists, a directive issued to intelligence officers does not specify which type of Arab demonstrators police should watch out for.
Police intelligence officers have been told to collect information about Israeli Arabs who join the social justice protests, Channel 10 reported last night. Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino issued a directive to the police top brass ordering them to document every "involvement of the Arab community in the protests."
Unlike the directives about Jewish demonstrators, which focus on rioters and anarchists, the section about Arabs does not specify which type of demonstrators police should watch out for, referring only to Arabs in general.
The social protest movement is planning to follow up Thursday's dissident "Black Night" events with another march in Tel Aviv on Saturday night against government economic policy. Scores of artists, musicians and other performers last night joined in a boycott of the municipality's annual White Night in a continuation of the protests over police violence against social justice demonstrators.
Marchers will head out from Habima Square for a rally outside the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, where the organizers will present a social economic contract including guidelines for the next state budget. They will call on the government to reduce poverty and inequality, increase the state's share in the gross domestic product, implement tax reform and strengthen the pension reserves.
Ben-Gurion University Prof. Yossi Yonah, one of the protest leaders' advisers, and south Tel Aviv activist Itzik Amsalem will be among the rally's speakers.
Organizers said the demonstration was coordinated with the security forces and licensed by Israel Police. The streets Marmorek, Ibn Gvirol and Shaul Hamelech will close to traffic from 7 P.M.
The first Black Night event was kicked off by a group of activists in south Tel Aviv's Shapira neighborhood. Unlike the protest against police brutality last weekend, these activists protested the city's ignoring the neighborhood during White Night.
Police refused to permit the party they were planning, which they took as proof of their point. The organizers decided to turn the party into a community picnic and wrote in its Facebook page: "We decided the situation in the neighborhood was tense enough without confrontation and arrests."
Dan Shochat, one of the organizers, said: "Yesterday we got a call from the Levinsky police station. When we came there they said no way would we get a permit [for the party]. They said if we held it with no permit, we would be officially charged. They said they couldn't let us do it because the protest guys will come, the anarchists."
The police also refused to allow the Black Night event planned in Neveh Sha'anan next to the central bus station. "The police made problems," said Moshe Cohen, one of the organizers. "They told us we need a business license, a permit from a qualified electrician. We brought one, he fixed the power lines. That wasn't enough for them," he said.

Israelis line up for Polish citizenship
Number of Israeli citizens hoping to gain Polish citizenship has increased since Poland joined EU. Israelis say they view Polish passport as ticket to European prosperity.
Since Poland joined the European Union in 2004, the Polish Embassy building in Tel Aviv has become a site of pilgrimage for a growing tide of Israelis who are seeking to claim Polish citizenship.
Over 10,000 Israelis have applied to become citizens of their parents' and grandparents' homeland and received the sought-after document, according to the Polish Embassy in Israel.
According to data published on the occasion of the annual Business Opportunities in Poland conference, some 20,000 Israelis also hold Polish citizenship, some 50 percent of whom became Polish citizens after Poland joined the EU.
The numbers also show that the demand for a Polish passport, which can open the door to other countries and other possibilities, is rapidly increasing. From 2006-2010, the number of Israelis who obtained Polish passports increased fourfold.
Unlike other European countries, applicants seeking Polish citizenship are not required to speak the language in order to receive a passport. Indeed, 95% of the Israeli applicants do not speak Polish.
According to the Polish Embassy, 25% of the applicants are second-generation Polish citizens while 55% are third-generation. Most applicants admit that they do not seek to immigrate to Warsaw, but hope to become citizens of the EU.
"Over the past few years, Poland has maintained economic stability and has managed to attract foreign investment in the country," explained attorney Alroy Canbal, who specializes in Polish investment.

Likud: Mofaz trying to make Lieberman quit
Sources in Likud party say Kadima chairman trying to stir coalitional crisis in order to push Yisrael Beiteinu out of government.
Political storm makes more waves – Sources close to Kadima Chairman Shaul Mofaz slammed Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Friday, calling him a "doorman" at a bar and accused him of "harming Israel" by trying to find an alternative to the Tal Law.
Meanwhile, a senior Likud official blamed Mofaz and his party for trying to stir a coalitional crisis with Yisrael Beiteinu, and pushing it to quit the coalition. "Kadima wants Lieberman's portfolio so they are trying to make him quit," said the official. "There is no other explanation for this behavior," he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Mofaz, and sources privy to the details of the meeting claim that Mofaz decided to retract his support for the inclusion of Arab army enlistment in the Plesner Committee recommendations.
According to one of the sources, "the issue of Arab recruitment into the IDF was discussed during the meeting, and we are not clear why Mofaz decided to take Plesner's stance of excluding them from the new law."
"There was an agreement with Kadima that they will support this issue," said the source. "Mofaz changed his mind, probably due to a strategic decision to push Lieberman into a corner."
Earlier on Friday, Netanyahu said during that the Plesner Committee must drop a recommendation for personal sanctions against anyone who does not join the IDF.
Meanwhile, the committee decided it will not release its recommendations without first coordinating it with the prime minister.
"We won't approve the sanctions without coordinating it with the prime minister," they said. "There is great discord on the matter of the sanctions. We won’t pursue unsatisfactory pseudo sanctions."

Arab MKs: Service for all is declaration of war
Having announced that 'Arab citizens must carry their equal share of the burden' Netanyahu speaks to Arab MKs who vow to resist draft. 'Arabs shouldn’t be the victims of a Jewish war,' MK Tibi says.
Arab Knesset members are outraged over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision require Israeli Arabs to perform military or national service as part of the Plesner Committee debates.
On Thursday, Netanyahu announced that "Arab citizens, along with the haredim, must carry their equal share of the burden," shortly after the Yisrael Beiteinu and Habayit Hayehudi factions announced their decision to quit the Plesner Committee.
The Arab MKs consider the step as nothing short of a declaration of war. On Friday, the prime minister is set to meet with Kadima chairman Shaul Mofaz in an effort to finalize an agreement for the gradual integration of Arabs and haredim in the IDF and national service.
"We shall strongly resist, (Arab) youth will not obey mandatory national service," MK Jamal Zahalka (Balad) told Netanyahu. "The attempt to force compulsory service on Arab youth is a declaration of war on the Arab sector."
MK Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List Ta'al) said: "We will not be made a part of the political power struggle between Lieberman and the prime minister. The Arabs should not be the victims of a Jewish war."
Tibi told Netanyahu, "Instead of an equal share of the burden let's talk about equality for all? Our people are asking why they don't have equal infrastructure, education, land allocation and employment."
Netanyahu replied, "That is solvable. The world and the country have changed and we all must share the burden."
Tibi slammed Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman: "Lieberman wants to conscript Arabs in Israel whom he considers a Fifth Column. Lieberman is lashing out at the Arabs again to escape his own conundrum as any nationalist does." He added that the Arab leadership supports volunteering but not conscription or mandatory national service.
Netanyahu also spoke to MK Mohammad Barakeh (Hadash) who told him, "You're calling me after Lieberman pressured you and threatened you with a crisis, this is not the behavior of a prime minister." He added that Arabs should enjoy unconditional equality.
Having recently confronted Lieberman, MK Talab el-Sana continued his attack on the foreign minister. "After Lieberman turned Israel into a worldwide leper, he is trying to destroy Israel's social fabric and enhance the gaps. Demanding mandatory Arab service will push Arabs into a civil revolt."
El-Sana called on Netanyahu to rein Lieberman in. "We will not allow the Arab public to be victimized by a political power struggle between the prime minister and his foreign minister. The conscription initiative is derived by massive hatred of haredim and Arabs which is driving Lieberman insane."
'Compensate us for 60 years of injustice'
MK Hanin Zoabi (Balad) did not spare any criticism of Netanyahu either. "Netanyahu is being pressured by Lieberman, we won't be pressured by Netanyahu. Arabs are not part of the ruling elite and those who enjoy the state's resources, they are being labeled as enemies, a cancer, a demographic and strategic threat."
She further added, "The proposed civil service will only serve to enhance this attitude, not change it. We will not serve a country that treats as subjects at best and a threat at worst. If an equal share of the burden is what they want, then let them reimburse taxes that are being collected with no reward, let them return houses that were razed and employ Arab workers.
"This state was founded upon on the destruction of our people. Equal share of the burden means compensating us for 60 years of injustice and alienation."
Sheikh Kamal Khatib, deputy head of the Islamic Movement's northern branch said: "The Islamic Movement will not accept the proposal to enlist Arabs into national service because it will pave the way for IDF service which we will not be part of."

PM succumbs to pressure: 'IDF service for haredim, Arabs'
After Yisrael Beiteinu, Habayit Hayehudi factions quit Plesner Committee, Netanyahu tells Arab lawmakers 'there is a new reality in Israel, and everyone must share the burden'.
"Arab citizens, along with the haredim, must carry their equal share of the burden," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday evening, shortly after the Yisrael Beiteinu and Habayit Hayehudi factions announced their decision to quit the Plesner Committee.
Earlier it was reported that the committee, which is debating alternatives to the Tal Law, will likely recommend that the State not require Israeli Arabs to perform military or national service.
"There is a new reality in Israel, and everyone must share the burden," Netanyahu told Arab lawmakers, adding that he will object to draft exemptions.
Lieberman informed Netanyahu that his faction would halt its cooperation with the committee and would bring to a vote in the Knesset a bill authored by MK David Rotem that would make national service mandatory for all sectors of Israeli society, including Arabs.
Yisrael Beiteinu called the committee's decision "damaging to the importance of equal service" and said that the faction believed that there was only one way to achieve an equal share of the burden, and that was to draft every citizen at age 18: secular, haredi, and Arab alike.
A source close to the prime minister said that committee chairman MK Yohanan Plesner (Kadima) "made a discretionary mistake when he voted to keep Arabs out of the bill. His mistake led to this crisis."
The source said "Lieberman and Netanyahu see eye to eye on this issue. There must be a mandatory daft for both haredim and Arabs."
Netanyahu told the Arab MKs he would not bring to a Knesset vote a bill that does not require Arabs and ultra-Orthodox to enlist in the army. "It's a matter of principle, and I am against exempting Arabs or haredim from army service," the premier stated.
"There is a new reality in Israel, and everyone must share the burden," he said.
PM Netanyahu is expected to meet with his deputy, Shaul Mofaz, to discuss ways to resolve the political crisis surrounding the committee's recommendations.
Minister Daniel Hershkowitz, head of the religious Habayit Hayehudi faction, told the PM its representatives were leaving the committee over the decision not to require Arabs to enlist.
"Those who receive from the State must also contribute to it," he said.
"Without the Arabs' contribution – there is no equal distribution of the burden."

Student olim face scholarship cuts
Aliyah now in danger? Young olim arrive in Israel
Jewish Agency, Absorption Ministry to suspend funding of high education scholarship for students who made aliyah.
Will thousands of young students be forced to change their plans for aliyah? Thousands of immigrant students face cuts in scholarships given to them by Israel's Student Authority.
Having held intense discussions on the matter with the Prime Minister's Office, the Treasury and the Jewish Agency, the Absorption Ministry said there does not appear to be a solution in sight.
Financial aid for thousands of student olim is set to be frozen including the funding of preparatory courses, Hebrew ulpans and all academic studies in the coming school year. The freeze is set to go into effect as early as July. "This gravely hurts thousands of immigrant students and compromises the aliyah of youngsters," the Absorption Ministry said.
"I'm in shock," says Sara Hasenson, 21, a first year Biology student at the Bar-Ilan University. Sara moved to Israel from Sweden three years ago. "My counselors at the Student Authority explained that the state won’t be funding my and my fellow olim's scholarships next year," she told Ynet. "I don't know what to do, I'm suppose to be registering for the next school year soon."
Having left her parents and three brothers in Sweden, Sara explained, "I'm completely dependent on this scholarship. I have no money to fund my studies here. In Sweden studies are free, my parents never saved up for this."
She added, "I love Israel and it's my only home. As far as I'm concerned my life is here. I have come here to stay, to make a life for myself in Israel, but if I can't study I will have to go back to Sweden. If I don't study I will always be dependent on the money I get from the state. That's not how I want to live."
No other source of funding
Sara Hasenson and Tamar
Students from the Hebrew University are planning to protest the freeze during the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem next week. Sara and her friend, Tamar Spector, 20, who made aliyah from New York, are planning to attend the protest.
"Most of the young olim have no money or families to sustain them and fund their studies," Tamar says. "I made aliyah because I believe this is my homeland. I am a proud Zionist but I need the help of the government in my first years here."
The Israel Student Authority's budget amounts to NIS 70 million ($16.68 million) a year, and until 2008 was equally divided between the Absorption Ministry and the Jewish Agency. In 2009, the Jewish Agency announced a cut of its share from NIS 35 million ($ 8.84 million) to NIS 16 million (roughly $4 million).
A total of 6,500 students received scholarships from the Student Authority in the past four years.
'We warned the PM's Office'
Absorption Ministry Director-General Dmitri Apartsev told Ynet that thousands of students will require the Student Authority's aid this year. "This year the Jewish Agency announced it wishes to cut its remaining share of the budget, NIS 16 million, which will severely harm the function of the Student Authority.
"Following heavy lateral cuts imposed on the Absorption Ministry, we cannot fund the Student Authority which is now unable to issue aid approvals before the beginning of the school year."
Apartsev said that the ministry had warned the PM's Office and the Finance Ministry of such an occurrence.
Founded in 1968, the Israel Student Authority funds the tuition of all student olim and provides stipends for some immigrants, usually from Ethiopia, the Caucasus and Bukhara.
Jewish Agency Secretary General Josh Schwartz told the Knesset's Education Committee that the agency is discussing the matter with the government and stressed that it will not pull its funds without first coordinating the move with the government. He promised to provide the NIS 16 million.

The Egypt Israel would like to see
By Khalid Amayreh in occupied Jerusalem
Apart from some terse diplomatic statements welcoming the election of the new Egyptian president Muhammed Morsi, Israel's overall reactions to the outcome of the recent presidential polls have been convulsive, phobic, gloomy and visibly depressive.
Indeed, a casual reader of the Hebrew press in the last few days would get the impression that Egypt is about to enter a new dark age and that the country of 90 million will soon succumb to the satanic stranglehold of Islamist obscurantism.
Some of the Israeli columnists and commentators lamented the looming loss of Egyptians' human rights and civil liberties as if Egypt had been a paradise of human rights and civil liberties under ex-president Mubarak and the regimes of Sadat and Nasser that preceded him.
We, who have languished under Israel's nefarious military occupation for more than five decades, know too will the Jewish-Zionist way of thinking. They would demonize and dehumanize anyone and everyone, even a Godly figure, if he criticized their criminal practices, racism and fascism.
This is why they are quite hysterical about the election of president Morsi, an ordinary Egyptian who calls the spade a spade, even if the tool happens to be in Jewish hands.
Morsi is an honest and religious man who values justice, morality, and truth. He doesn't cringe or cower in the presence of power. He is willing to tell Israel "you are criminal" straight in the eye. He doesn't allow diplomatic niceties to obliterate truth or compromise justice.
Israel has always been accustomed to dealing with hypocritical, cowardly and/or unctuous leaders who would appease the criminal state no matter how diabolically it behaves, how pornographically it murders, and how pathologically it lies. Such was Israel's experience with leaders like George W. Bush, Tony Blair and Hosni Mubarak.
But to Israel's deep chagrin, Morsi is no Hosni Mubarak, the man who was deadly silent as thousands of Palestinian children and women were being murdered, maimed and incinerated in his backyard in Gaza four years ago.
Israel would like to see Egypt as a gigantic banana republic, without sovereignty, without national dignity and without national honor.
Israel would like to see Egypt transformed from a dignified conservative society into a decadent country in order to facilitate the achievement of the Free Masons' goal of destroying the country from within.
Israel would want to see as many Egyptians as possible go atheistic or at least secular in order to corrode the Islamic faith, which constitutes the ultimate immunity against Jewish-Zionist designs to destroy Egypt, employing the soft but lethal methods of implanting all sorts of social ills that would destroy the country's immunity system.
Israel would want to see the Tahrir square morphed into a haven for all sorts of morbid-minded deviants who would shout against Islam, against morality and against virtue.
Needless to say, the moment a semblance of this state of affair occurs, the Free Masons and the Rotary Clubs and their Zionist handlers will have achieved their evil goals.
Israel doesn't want to see young Egyptian men and women shout "God is Great" or "Justice for the Palestinians"" or "stop Jewish Nazism."
Instead, Israel would want to see millions of Egyptian youngsters consumed by pornography, sexual promiscuity, drug addictions, and dearth of spirituality.
This is what Israel has been doing and trying to do to the Palestinians for over sixty years. Just ask any Jerusalemite how the Israeli intelligence is encouraging drug addiction among non-Jews, and he or she would tell you volumes of stories.
Ask any Palestinian how the Israeli intelligence, the Shabak or Shine Beth, is fighting religiosity and witch-hunting young people frequenting mosques, and you will be told many many eyebrow-raising stories.
Israel is simply spreading all kinds of decadence, drugs, promiscuity, pornography, Satan worship, sexual deviancies and social ills wherever and whenever it can. The rationale behind this evil is very simple. For Israel to prevail over its enemies, it has first to corrode and destroy their immunity.
In the final analysis, young people who are enslaved by their lusts and desires will fight neither for Palestine, nor for Jerusalem, not even for their own families or themselves.
The election of Muhammed Morsi must have disrupted Zionist designs vis-à-vis Egypt as Israel is visibly worried that the new leadership in Cairo will put Egypt on an entirely new track combining physical and spiritual strength as well as economic prosperity.
Israel fears and dreads any leadership in Cairo that is answerable to the people of Egypt, irrespective of the whims and views of the Jewish-controlled US government and Congress.
Israel simply wants to see a cowardly Egypt , an Egypt that internalizes Jewish mythology about the chosen people and master race!!
But Egypt won't be a banana republic, not now nor after a hundred years. Perhaps, Israel should scale down its arrogance and vanity.

News reports: Morsi refuses to answer Netanyahu's phone calls
News reports said Sunday that Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi refuses to answer phone calls from Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu who wants to congratulate him on his presidential election win.
The Hebrew media reported that Morsi did not respond to US pressures to receive a short phone call from Netanyahu who had instead to send a congratulatory letter.
An Israeli source said that Netanyahu asked US president Barack Obama to intervene personally to pressure Morsi to answer his phone calls and to ensure that Egypt still respects its agreements with Israel, especially the Camp David treaty.
The source added that Morsi reassured Obama that Egypt is still committed to its agreements, but he insisted on not talking to Netanyahu.
For its part, the Muslim Brotherhood group in Egypt declared that the arrival of its presidential candidate Mohamed Morsi to power would not change anything of its principles regarding the recognition of Israel and its support for the Palestinian resistance.
"The Muslim Brotherhood's position is fixed and unchanged. We do not and will not recognize Israel," spokesman for the Islamist group Mahmoud Ghazlan told Quds Press.
"We support the legitimate resistance by all rightful means, advocate it in the media and politically and recognize its right to defend itself, and this is a right stipulated by all international conventions," spokesman Ghazlan added.

Israeli PM sends letter to Morsi amid fears of changes in Egypt policies
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked the new Egyptian government to maintain the peace treaty between Tel Aviv and Cairo amid Israel’s fear over changes in Egypt.
In a letter to Egypt’s newly-elected President Mohamed Morsi a few days ago, Netanyahu stressed his desire to continue cooperation with Egypt, an unnamed source told AFP on Sunday.
Israeli media have warned of troubles in relations with Egypt following the victory of the Muslim Brotherhood candidate in Egypt's first free elections.
Officials in Tel Aviv fear that Morsi could bring an end to Egypt’s peace treaty with Israel.
Former Israeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said this week Egypt would now be led "by a man who has never hidden his hostility towards Israel."
Morsi was sworn in as Egypt’s president on Saturday after he defeated former Premier Ahmed Shafiq during the country’s run-off presidential election.
In his first presidential address on Saturday, Morsi reiterated that his country “will stand with Palestinian people until they get their rights.”
In 1979, Egypt became the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel and was also compelled to agree to supply gas to Israel as one of the main economic conditions of the US-sponsored accord.
Supplying gas to Israel has always been a controversial issue for Egyptians, who view Israel as an enemy and oppose engaging in any form of business with Tel Aviv.

New olim: They're chasing us away
250 new immigrant students throw their hat in the ring of this summer's protests, gathering in front of the Prime Minister's Office to oppose budget cuts. 'This hurts aliya and hurts Israel's basic values'.
Lone immigrant soldiers simply won't stay in Israel after their military service, warned a group of olim students who gathered Sunday to protest cuts to the budget of the Israel Student Authority, which is responsible for providing tuition aid and employment assistance for young new immigrants.
Under the slogan "Abandoning aliya hurts the state," the students called on the government to stop ignoring the danger presented by "closing one of the most important Zionist projects established in Israel," which has been in operation since 1968.
The protesters, who traveled to the Prime Minister's Office from all over Israel – carrying suitcases to make their point – bore signs reading "If you close the Authority, students will be unemployed"; "No education – no future"; "I made aliya and I did the army, what about the promise?" and "I made aliya for Zionism, I don't want to leave because of stinginess."
According to the demonstrators, the decision to cut the authority's budget means that 7,000 new immigrants who receive financial support and vital services for integration into the higher education system as well as into Israeli society, will be left hanging.
Nissim Salame, 29, made aliya from France nine years ago. He served five and a half years as a soldier and officer in the Nahal Brigade. He is currently studying international relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and says that the decision to close the Student Authority means that students will be forced to leave their studies because no one will foot the bill.
"Or lone soldiers who finish their IDF service simply won't stay in Israel, because in some countries, (university) studies are free," Salame observes.
Dalia, who made aliya with her sister Dafna four years ago from Uruguay, said that she made aliya for two reasons: "One, great Zionism, and two, because I knew that there were organizations that would help me, support me, and fund my studies."
According to Dalia, immigrant students need assistance because "it's hard to deal with the situation in Israel."
"This is a very difficult, sad situation for new immigrants," she says.
The Jewish Agency said in response that Chairman Natan Sharansky has made a commitment that the Student Authority would continue to receive funding as long as negotiations with the government continued.
The Immigrant Absorption Ministry said that the cost of operating the Student Authority stood at NIS 70 million per year. Until 2008, responsibility for the budget was split 50/50 between the ministry and the Jewish Agency, but three years ago the Jewish Agency began to trim its contribution, until the recent announcement that it would stop its participation entirely.

Dear Citizens of the world,
We live in the most troubled times! Ravaged by debt, enslaved by greed, and trapped by media lies! Our lives have become such a burden, that we forgo the very basic instincts of our being - to care for our fellow brothers and sisters, We must dare to speak out in support of the Palestinian people who resist and endorse the horrific existence brought upon them through our blood thirsty imperial crusade.
The people of Palestine wake up in fear everyday knowing it may be their last; they walk the streets with military tanks aiming at them, they have to go through military checkpoints every day just to get to school or work, they are denied their basic human rights, they are shot at from point blank range for peacefully protesting, innocent Palestinian children are used as human shields by the Zionist IDF soldiers.
We at Anonymous and TeaMp0isoN would like you to take a few minutes out from your busy lives and just imagine the following existence for you, your family or those you hold dear:
Imagine you wake up with no hope every day, imagine your very existence, the future of your children, even the future of your nation was decided by the bullets of an occupying force! Imagine your children growing up accepting death as an inevitable consequence of being who they are! Imagine accepting the indignity of being searched, denied the freedom of movement in your own country; imagine having to queue up at a check point with a terminally or fatally wounded child only to be told that a non medic has decided that you cannot pass, imagine having to take your child back home to watch them die knowing that there is nothing you can do! Imagine watching an illegal settler forcing you and your family from your home, imagine the authorities aiding them, imagine your children watching their children playing in the back yard - with their toys, imagine you having to live outside in a tent watching them redevelop your home!
Imagine what you would say to your child when he/she asks why!
Imagine seeing F16's terrorise your children, imagine being unable to sleep, traumatised, scared, crying - imagine this happening every day! Imagine bombs tearing the limbs of your children, imagine seeing 1, 2, 3, 4 or more of your children laid out on the floor looking at you, fear stuck on their face, lifeless, not breathing, some seeming at peace, others ravaged by shrapnel, eyes missing, hands burnt, intestines slowly sliding out of an open wound, head missing, bits of their skull missing, imagine seeing your child in hospital screaming, crying, suffering, looking at you with pleading eyes, begging eyes to help take the pain away, imagine knowing there is nothing you can do because illegal weaponry like white phosphorus was cooking their insides.
just imagine what you would do!
Would you worry about your bills? Would you worry about your car, your TV, your trainers, your holiday? Would you buy the products that financed this suffering, Would you support the men and women who did this, Would you call them a defence force and the victims the terrorists? WOULD YOU?
that is EXACTLY what you are doing when you drink Coca Cola, eat a Big Mac or buy pampers for your baby and do you know about the other everyday Israeli products you purchase from which the profits gained are used to fund the suffering of the palestinian people. Do you realize the taxes that you pay feed the forces that traumatize the people of Palestine, Of course not you're more worried about not having free health care.
The people of Palestine have been robbed of their land and their freedom, the Racist Zionist state is killing innocent Palestinians using illegal chemical weapons, the governments of the world have ignored the war crimes committed by Israel, will you ignore these illegal methods and war crimes too?
Israel has been committing genocide, infanticide, and every day homicide since 1948 and the world and her citizens have been aiding and abetting and financing this! We are all complicit in the murder of the innocent! It's time to make a stand!
Anonymous, TeaMp0isoN and many other hacktivists from around the world have united, we may not be able to stop the Zionist regime, but the least we can do is raise awareness and educate people by defacing zionist websites, Operation Free Palestine is about educating the blind and terrorising the terrorist, the tables have turned, the time has come
Existence is resistance,
We are Legion.

‘US against halt to violence in Syria’
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28cYLI6F9_Y
The United States does not favor an end to the turmoil in Syria since Washington seeks its own interests in “leading problems” in the Arab country, a political analyst tells Press TV.
Malaz Miqdad from Damascus told Press TV on Sunday that the US is “always interested in leading problems in a way that serves its interests.”
He added that a halt to the violence is “a basic element” for a political process to begin in Syria, but Washington remains opposed to any solution that would put an end to the deadly unrest.
The United States is still interfering in the internal affairs of Syria, and it “even opposed the final statement of the Geneva meeting,” Miqdad stated, referring to a meeting on the Syrian issue held at the United Nations office in Geneva on June 30.
Diplomats meeting in Geneva reached an agreement on a Syria-led transitional governing body that could include members of the current Syrian government and the opposition.
The foreign ministers of Russia, China, Britain, France, Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi, and the secretary of state of the United States attended the meeting.
UN-Arab League envoy to Syria Kofi Annan said the participants of the Geneva meeting agreed that the transitional governing body in Syria “could include members of the present government and the opposition and other groups, and shall be formed on the basis of mutual consent.”
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said after the meeting that Washington did not see any role for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the new government, even though there was no explicit call for him to step down.
“Assad will still have to go. He will never pass the mutual consent test,” Clinton stated.
A Damascus resident told Press TV on Sunday that some Western states “rush to participate in international meetings” to help terrorists fighting against the Syrian government “whenever armed groups are weak.”
"The Syrians do not want any imported solution from abroad. We do not acknowledge the Syrian opposition abroad. We do not accept their participation in the political life in Syria,” said another Damascus resident."
The foreign ministers of Russia and China said after the June 30 meeting that any decision on a transition of power in Syria should only be made by the Syrian people.
The anti-Syria Western governments have been calling for the Syrian president to step down, but Russia and China remain strongly opposed to the Western drive to oust Assad.

Zionist parties reach a dead end in Israel: Analyst
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZ0RG4x14lU
A political analyst has held the Zionist political parties responsible for the growing social injustice and inequality in Israel, saying that Zionism is at its dead-end, Press TV reports.
People in Israel realize that “Zionism is at the dead-end and traps them in a condition of permanent war, permanent occupation, and permanent subjugation and pits them against the aspirations of people around the world,” Ralph Schoenman told Press TV.
He also noted that Zionist political parties in Israel cannot respond to people's demands.
Schoenman resembled the current situation in Tel Aviv with apartheid in South Africa.
“The existing Zionist political parties cannot give voice to the aspirations of the population at large, including the settler population. As we saw in South Africa, with the struggle against apartheid, it is emerging in Israel too,” he said.
During the past weeks, thousands of Israelis protested against social injustice, the high cost of living and the police’s excessive use of force.
The protests erupted last year after people pitched tents in the middle of the Rothschild Boulevard to protest against the cost of living in Tel Aviv.

'Predatory capitalism, disparity destroying Israel'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XK0VFws1IE
Despite billions in US aid to Israel, Israelis suffer from inequality and the rising living costs that have prompted the second mass street protests in weeks.
Press TV has interviewed Stephen Lendman, a writer and radio host about the renewal of the protests in Israel. The show also offers the insights of Ralph Schoenman, the author of The Hidden History of Zionism, and Mofeed Jaber with the Center for Middle Eastern Studies and Public Relations.
What follows is an approximate transcript of the interview.
Press TV: Let's look at some of the complaints of the demonstrators, which is growing - cost of housing, food and education. Why is this such a major problem right now for the Israelis?
Lendman: It's an extremely major problem. Social protests broke out last summer. They were unprecedented in Israel. What virtually no Americans… I shouldn't say 'no', but very few Americans understand how socially unjust Israel really is.
For Jews, it's been for the last three decades what America was stifling under Reaganomics; in Britain it was plagued by Thatcherism; and then in the 1990s when shock therapy struck the former Soviet Union; and now austerity plagues the West.
The two most unjust Western societies are Britain and America. Israel matches them - extremely socially unjust. Arab citizens 20 percent of the population have no rights whatsoever. But increasingly Jews are denied.
They're denied basic social benefits they used to have decades ago. Neo-Liberal harshness replace them: healthcare, education, affordable housing and affordable food. These things are going by the way side. Protests erupted last summer; they're beginning again this year.
Press TV: What about that slogan that I mentioned and also Mr. Schoenman mentioned that the protesters are chanting. How significant is that particular slogan that "the only solution to privatization is revolution"? Are we likely to see a growing schism in that society?
Lendman: I really believe it and I believe that it's happening in the West as well. The slogan of the Occupy Wall Street movement is "the only solution is world revolution". That's exactly right. That's what future trends watcher Gerald Cilente says. He says it's coming, nobody knows when, but angry people will only take so much and then they will erupt.
And the cancer… the cancer of capitalism, predatory capitalism is destroying western societies, it's destroying Israel. The extreme wealth disparities between a tiny elite segment of society in these countries whether we're talking about America, Israel, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain - the same thing. People only take so much before they erupt.
Another thing few people in America understand about Israel is there is a serious hunger problem, there is a homelessness problem, there is a poverty problem and there is an unemployment problem. You say this to American Jews and they'll think that you're nuts; they won't know what you're talking about.
The US media don't say anything about this, but it's a major problem in Israel, it's a major problem in America, it's a major problem across Europe. It's the same thing - predatory neo-capitalism eating the heart out of the majority of people in the country. And they will only take so much before they erupt and when their protests aren't met…
Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, he promised change last year. He made promises, he broke his promises. People understand that. There back again and this thing will rage all summer, I expect a long hot summer and grievances unaddressed… who knows when things will blow up, but we're heading for a major blow up and not just in Israel.
Press TV: Are you optimistic that the Palestinians and the Israelis can actually come together on this issue and if so let’s look at what the possible response would be from the Tel Aviv regime? … Because we've already seen that in previous demonstrations they came down hard on the protesters... And if this was to escalate and if they were to come together in solidarity, what likely scenario would we witness coming from the Tel Aviv regime?
Lendman: Well I hope Ralph is right. Honestly I have not seen this myself. True enough the Palestinians that Ralph speaks about who have participated in these protests are Israeli Arabs, Israeli citizens.
Of course, Palestinians in the territories cannot get into Israel so they have part in this. But the numbers of Arab citizens participating are tiny compared to the Jewish participants. So I don’t see a strong connection, a tenuous connection I see.
But I think the issue for Israeli Jews is social inequality aside from the Palestinian issue in resolving justice for Palestinians in the territories and Israeli Arabs, Israeli citizens I see this as light years away. I don’t see Israeli Jews getting that exercised about this - modestly, yes; angrier about injustice affecting them.
And another story that never gets publicity in the West and in America is that there is a lot of Israeli that are very upset and they vote with their feet by leaving. They are leaving Israel. They are fed up with it, they want no more of it and it could be that this exodus will pick up…again, it never gets reported.
But we're many, many years away from the Palestinians and territories getting real help. I write about that all the time. The pressure is horrific, it's unrelenting. I see nothing - no world leaders - nothing coming to their aid. It just continues coming down on them harshly, but I'm doing what I can to spread the word about it. It is absolutely unbearable what they're putting up with.

Steps underway to remove Jewish national fund from list of charities in UK
LONDON, (PIC)-- The Arab organization for human rights in the UK said there are serious moves by the British charity commission to remove the Jewish national fund from its list of registered charities.
In a press release on Monday, the Arab organization stressed that it is unreasonable in light of the many facts in hand proving its involvement in "crimes against humanity" to keep the Jewish national fund, which is registered by the British charity commission as the JNF charitable trust under number 225910, recognized as a charitable society.
The human rights organization affirmed that the Jewish national fund is the financial wing of the Zionist movement since its inception in 1901.
It added that since the British mandate, this Jewish fund has been actively seizing Palestinian lands and real estate and persisted in its Judaization and settlement activities after the emergence of Israel in 1948.
The organization underlined that over the past 20 years, this fund used the illegal Israeli custodian of absentee property law to transfer Palestinian real estate in east Jerusalem to Jewish settlers' ownership and embarked on seizing dozens of dunums of land and homes in Silwan district in cooperation with Elad settlement society and Himnuta organization.
In the 80s and 90s, the Jewish national fund managed to displace hundreds of Palestinians in Silwan district after seizing their homes, according to the Arab organization for human rights.
"In the Negev, the national fund with the help of different Israeli ministries is pushing towards the expulsion of the Bedouin population from their villages at the pretext of plans to afforest the areas and establish natural woods. This scheme is aimed at displacing 30,000 Palestinian residents of the Negev," the organization asserted.

Israel is an apartheid regime: UN official
Richard Falk, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights
The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights has accused the international community of complicity in Israeli settlement policies and says Israel is implementing an apartheid system.
Richard Falk made the remarks during a press conference after addressing the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday and delivering a report, AFP reported.
"The international community is conspiring -- maybe unwittingly -- in a process that has no way of bringing justice to the people involved in this conflict," Falk said about the Israeli settlements.
He noted that Palestinians in the occupied West Bank are offered no protection in Israeli law, adding that their treatment is akin to apartheid.
"I think one has to begin to call the reality by a name," he said, likening the "discriminatory dualistic legal system" in the West Bank to the former system in South Africa.
Falk criticized the work of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the region as the so-called Middle East Quartet's peace envoy, calling the process “a trick rather than a way to find a solution to the problem.”
In his report, Falk also expressed concern about Israel's use of administrative detention, the expansion of settlements, and violence by settlers.
Administrative detention is a sort of imprisonment without trial or charge that allows Israel to incarcerate Palestinians for up to six months. The detention order can be renewed for indefinite periods of time.
Talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis stalled in September 2010 after Israel declined to renew a 10-month freeze on its illegal settlement construction in the occupied West Bank.
The international community regards all the Israeli settlements across the West Bank as illegal under international law.
Nearly 500,000 Israelis live in more than 100 settlements built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Israeli firm grows 'highless' marijuana
By Maayan Lubell
SAFED, Israel (Reuters) -- They grow in a secret location in northern Israel. A tall fence, security cameras and an armed guard protect them from criminals. A hint of their sweet-scented blossom carries in the air: rows and rows of cannabis plants, as far as the eye can see.
It is here, at a medical marijuana plantation atop the hills of the Galilee, where researchers say they have developed marijuana that can be used to ease the symptoms of some ailments without getting patients high.
"Sometimes the high is not always what they need. Sometimes it is an unwanted side effect. For some of the people it's not even pleasant," said Zack Klein, head of development at Tikun Olam, the company that developed the plant.
Cannabis has more than 60 constituents called cannabinoids. THC is perhaps the best known of those, less so for its medical benefits and more for its psychoactive properties that give people a "high" feeling.
But cannabis also contains Cannabidiol, or CBD, a substance that some researchers say has anti-inflammatory benefits. Unlike THC, it hardly binds to the brain's receptors and can therefore work without getting patients stoned.
"CBD plants are available in different forms all over the world," said Klein, adding that the company's plant is free of THC and very high in CBD.
Tikun Olam began its research on CBD enhanced cannabis in 2009 and about six months ago they came up with Avidekel, Klein said, a cannabis strain that contains 15.8 percent CBD and only traces of THC, less than one percent.
Cannabis as medicine
Marijuana is an illegal drug in Israel. Medicinal use of it was first permitted in 1993, according to the health ministry.
Today cannabis is used in Israel to treat 9,000 people suffering from illnesses such as cancer, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease and post traumatic stress disorder, according to Israel's health ministry.
Drug companies have also been interested in cannabis as a medicine. Britain's GW Pharmaceuticals, with Bayer and Almirall, sells an under-the-tongue spray called Sativex that is designed to minimize highs by manipulating ratios of active ingredients.
Raphael Mechoulam, a professor of medicinal chemistry at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, said Avidekel is thought to be the first CBD-enriched cannabis plant with no THC to have been developed in Israel.
"It is possible that (Avidekel's) CBD to THC ratio is the highest among medical marijuana companies in the world, but the industry is not very organised, so one cannot keep exact track of what each company is doing," he explained.
Although there have been no clinical trials in humans, Mechoulam, who is a leading researcher of cannabinoids, said that Avidekel showed promise as a potent anti-inflammatory.
Ruth Gallily of the Hebrew University who works for the company and has been studying CBD for more than 12 years, said she has found that the substance has impressive anti-inflammatory qualities. She has been testing the effects of Tikun Olam's CBD-enhanced cannabis on mice and expects clinical trials to begin in a few months.
Avidekel is a new strain of a plant that is already permitted for medical use so there is nothing stopping patients who are already being treated with marijuana from trying Avidekel. About 10 patients began using it in the past six months, Klein said.
"The cannabis plant, enriched with CBD, can be used for treating diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, colitis, liver inflammation, heart disease and diabetes," she said, adding there are no side effects.
"It's a huge advantage," said one 35-year-old patient who asked not to be identified, "I can smoke during the day, function with a lot less pain and still be focused, work and drive. It is a great gift."
The woman began suffering chronic pains after a tumor was removed from her spine. She began treatment with regular THC-containing marijuana eight months ago. Two months ago she started smoking Avidekel.
"The difference is huge. Before, I would only smoke at the end of the day and stay in pain." Now, she said, with the highless marijuana "my life is so much better."
Despite Avidekel's highless benefit, Klein does not see regular marijuana disappearing any time soon. THC has its own unique effects that alleviate illness symptoms.
"Don't worry, I think that cannabis with THC will still be (around)," he said.

Sheikh Salah: The Zionist project is dying
ISTANBUL, (PIC)-- Head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands Sheikh Ra'ed Salah expressed his belief that the Arab region would see radical changes in the near future, including the decay and demise of the Zionist project.
In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC), Sheikh Salah emphasized that the Israeli occupation regime is trying to divide the Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews as it has done with the Abrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil city, and it is in the process of dividing the Aqsa, although it has not declared this in public.
"The division is a transitional goal because [the Israeli occupation] is still determined to achieve its ultimate aim, which is the building of the temple in place of the Aqsa Mosque, and today we are facing a kind of bullying by the occupation which uses all means to fulfill its interim objective and strive to reach the ultimate end," head of the Islamic Movement underlined.
"The issue of Jerusalem is not humanitarian in order to deal with it as if its natives need food because it is a question of rights and sovereignty under occupation and in danger, and it is an issue of illegal presence of occupation trying to Judaize the land of Jerusalem, its homes, holy sites and institutions and ethnically cleanse our people in Jerusalem," he stressed.
In another context, the Islamic Movement official expressed his optimism that the new Egyptian president would be supportive for the Palestinian cause, especially the issue of Jerusalem.
He also urged the Islamic and Arab nations to mobilize their efforts to swiftly liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupation.

B’nai B’rith slams UN rights report
Richard Falk, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights
B’nai B’rith International delivers intervention at Human Rights Council over anti-Israel report by Richard Falk.
B'nai B'rith International delivered an intervention at the United Nations Human Rights Council on Tuesday regarding the session’s deliberations on the anti-Israel agenda item 7, which addressed the "Human Rights Situation in Palestine and Other Occupied Arab Territories."
In his statement, Klaus Netter, B’nai B’rith International’s main Geneva representative, referred to the latest report by UN Special Rapporteur Richard Falk, which, "provides more evidence to justify the concerns we have repeatedly voiced about the inherent bias of his mandate, and the particular problem posed by having Mr. Falk carry out the reporting duty.
"He claims fairness in this report that he has made every effort to represent Israel's positions on the various issues fairly, but no truly objective reader would confirm that the text of the report, and in particular its recommendations, meets any standard of fairness."
Netter continued that: "The report compares a jailed operative of the Islamic Jihad to Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi championed non-violence and peaceful coexistence; Islamic Jihad prefers suicide bombings and rocket attacks against Israeli civilians to achieve its objective of wiping Israel off the map.
"The report also again treats the terrorist organization Hamas with kid gloves. The Special Rapporteur gives Hamas a pass on the rocket fire continually raining down on Israeli civilians in an ever-expanding area. Since the start of this very session, Hamas launched dozens of rockets toward Israeli communities.
"Moreover, the Special Rapporteur volunteers utterly unsubstantiated claims about the alleged greater international media interest in Israelis' suffering, as compared to the Palestinians.
"Last but not least, we must again ask: For how long will the daily terrorism that Israeli civilians face continue to be ignored or minimized by this council, and by its Special Rapporteur?”

Israel "chief rabbi" announces plan to give hotels higher "star ratings" if kitchens don't employ any non-Jewish people
Google translation
Metzger presents: hotels ranked by "Jewishness"
Religious revolution in the tourism industry is expected in Israel: Arabs occupy hotel kitchen will lose two stars and the hotel will separate between men and women in the pool gets 5.
Hotel fit the spirit of Judaism and give resort environment that matches the way of religious life, such as avoiding the employment of non-Jews in the kitchen and honoring the Sabbath, will receive the upgrade will be reflected in the stars.
Ma'ariv has learned that the rating system will be made by giving stars. Two to five stars as Ruth will be awarded according to the criteria cumulative.
Hotel with kosher certification standard would two stars, three stars will be awarded to the hotel not to employ foreign workers and minorities under the preparation of food, four stars will be awarded to the hotel to invite meat only butchers Orthodox worse, while five stars brag hotel keeps the Sabbath and modesty, and among other dudes modest employees and prohibits talking on and playing music on Saturday.
No music in the lobby
This hierarchy will have hotels they want to preen more than two stars to dismiss non-Jewish workers employed so far in the kitchen or moving them to other works in it. A knowledgeable source said that in recent years, with the growing trend of hiring non-Jews in the kitchens of hotels, there were serious kashrut problems arising from lack of caring and May - workers' awareness of the importance of keeping kosher.
Hotels they want to preen four stars as Ruth would have, beyond the prohibition of employment of non-Jews in the kitchen, also be careful not to buy meat at a non-Mehadrin. This level of keeping kosher beyond the standard required by law and is produced mainly for driving ultra-Orthodox public
Maintain more stringent rules slaughter, training and cooking of meat.
It seems that the fifth star is the most dramatic and may provoke strong opposition, since it dictates the way of life and the religious character of the hotel. This planet relates to the issue of modesty and keeping the Sabbath in public areas of hotels.
The list of prohibitions being drawn in the Chief Rabbinate can already tell the prohibition of playing music throughout the hotel during the Sabbath, allocation of teaching pool separate for men and women regularly wearing modest facts, Activation Saturday, and a ban on desecrating the Sabbath in public spaces of the hotel, such as speaking on the phone or running public power.
Create a friendly atmosphere
Those who are headed the committee that consolidates the criteria are Rabbi Yaniv Cohen, Director of Kosher Hotels Jerusalem Rabbinate, and four other rabbis. Rabbinate aware that this is an unprecedented move for what they call "the gray area in training", but their taste is not religious coercion, but the public service of religion abiding vacationers from Israel and abroad.
"There can be a melon will strive for five stars in the professional field, but the religious holiday accommodation will be for him only two stars only because of its nature Ayahtamh guardians of religious life," said a senior rabbi.
Rabbi Rafael Cohen, director of training in Tiberias and a member of the committee, confirmed the words: "I hope that within two months we will finish the job. Until now we had a few meetings, and the work is towards the end."
Metzger's office said: "This is a matter which is at the initial examination and it is unclear if this will eventually implemented. Any case shall not be required to participate in ranking the hotels in question. Goal is to create positive competition will contribute to maximize the possibility of observant Jews spend in hotels in Israel , with the possibility to choose the level of training and overall friendly atmosphere towards Jewish traditions and values ".

Netanyahu coalition partner threatens to quit over military draft
Ultra-Orthodox Jews in full-time religious studies: kill all non Jews.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing a crisis as the Kadima party threatened to quit the coalition with the premier's Likud party over the issue of military exemption for the ultra-Orthodox Jews.
Shaul Mofaz, the head of Kadima, threatened on July 2 to leave the coalition unless amendments were made to the Tal Law, which exempts ultra-Orthodox Jews from serving in the army as long as they are engaged in full-time religious studies.
“If Netanyahu does not keep his promises, then the crisis is going to be severe and there will not be a partnership. There is no middle ground here,” Mofaz said.
Kadima, which holds the largest number of seats in Israel’s parliament, joined the coalition in May, and agreed to support Netanyahu in return for changes to the Tal Law.
On July 2, Netanyahu dissolved the Plesner Committee, which was created to replace the Tal Law, over divisions among its members.
The Tal Law was scheduled to be replaced by August 2012, when it is due to expire.
“The committee was established as part of the (unity) agreement between Kadima and Likud, so the unilateral dissolution of the committee by Netanyahu does not bind Kadima,” Mofaz said.
On Tuesday, Shelly Yachimovich, the leader of the Labor party, also censured Likud and Kadima, which “created a giant coalition that is unable to achieve a thing including reaching an agreement on the Tal Law.”
More than 60,000 ultra-Orthodox men are currently exempt from mandatory military service. The exemptions and a refusal to enter the workforce by them have angered the Israeli general public.
Israeli men are required to serve three years in the military, while women serve two years.

County Democratic official Garcia resigns after emails critical of Israel surface
Evelyn Garcia
By John Lantigua Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
Evelyn Garcia, a member of the Democratic National Committee from Palm Beach County, resigned the post Monday after emails surfaced in which she sharply criticized Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.
Garcia, a candidate for the State House of Representatives from District 88, which includes parts of West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, said she would continue to campaign for that seat. She apologized for her remarks and called them “ugly” and “hurtful.”
The emails were provided anonymously to local Democratic Party leaders late last week, those leaders said. In each case, the recipient’s name was blacked out. Some of them appear to have been written to a South Florida Congressional aide.
“The continued Israeli occupation of Palestine is ugly on moral, ethical, religious and legal grounds,” Garcia said in an email dated July 26, 2011. “Palestinians had nothing to do with the holocaust and it is time that this guilt trip was taken off their backs…. And I deeply resent U.S. taxpayer funds being used to continue Israeli aggression.”
In that same email, Garcia accused Israel of confiscating land and building illegal settlements in occupied territories, as well as “incursions that kill people, destroy civilian homes and infrastructure all over; mass concentration prison camps, etc.”
In A May 24, 2011 message, Garcia wrote: “Slavery was ended, apartheid was ended and so this occupation must end.”
County Democratic Party Chairman Mark Alan Siegel accepted Garcia’s resignation Monday afternoon. He called the emails “grossly inappropriate.”
“I was shocked by her choice of words,” Siegel said.
He said he was surprised because Garcia “had never shown any animus toward Jews she encountered in her work for the party. “This wasn’t the Evelyn we knew,” he said.
County Commissioner Burt Aaronson was angered by the emails.
Burt Aaronson
“She can say what she wants but not as an executive of the Democratic Party,” Aaronson said. “The party, locally, statewide and nationally, supports the state of Israel. I am personally offended as a Jew, as a Democrat and as a supporter of the state of Israel. The Democratic Party is better off without her.”
Garcia, a Haitian-American, was elected to the Democratic National Committee in 2008, after serving as a delegate to the party’s national convention in Denver earlier that year.
She issued a resignation statement Friday afternoon, saying that’s she wrote it “with great sadness and a heavy heart.” She said the private emails had been released “by someone I believed was my friend.”
“In passionately advocating my position supporting the rights of people I felt were being harmed, I used language that I now regret,” she wrote. “The gist of the conversation had to do with my concern for innocent people being oppressed, but such support for the oppressed does not diminish my support for the good people of Israel.”
In a separate statement emailed later Friday to The Palm Beach Post, Garcia said: “My comments were not only inappropriate and hurtful, they are exactly the kind of ugly rhetoric that is not conducive to the overall atmosphere needed to create a prosperous peace and security for both parties. I apologize to anyone I offended and to my friends in the Democratic Party, in particular, members of the Jewish faith whom I have worked with for years.
“My continued presence would merely serve as a distraction to the good work of Democrats and it is for this reason I have submitted my resignation,” she wrote.
Garcia is up against three other Democrats – Charles Bantel, Bobby Powell and Nikasha Wells — for the District 88 House seat. The GOP has no candidate in the race, so the winner of the primary will win the seat. All registered voters can vote in that primary Aug. 14.

'Gays encourage prostitution'
Manager of major Tel Aviv clinic says gay community legitimizing, to an extent, existence of prostitution; gay activists slam 'miserable' remark.
"The gay community is legitimizing prostitution" – This startling statement was made Thursday by Yael Gur, a social worker who has been running the Levinsky Clinic in Tel Aviv for the past decade.
Gur was invited to speak before the Knesset's Labor, Welfare and Health Committee following the controversy surrounding several statements made by Knesset members in regards to the gay community.
Just last week MK Anastassia Michaeli (Yisrael Beiteinu) said that "homosexuals are miserable… Eventually they commit suicide at the age of 40"; while MK Uri Ariel (National Union) said that gays should be excluded from military service, since "They'll only get in the army's way."
Both were widely panned for their comments.
Gur, who was asked by the committee to elaborate about the statistics of male prostitution in Israel, said that the committee should invite members of the gay community to participate in its hearing.
"It's important to remember who the patrons of male prostitution are, regardless if they are adults or minors. Men are the clientele – not women, so I think the heads of the community should be here."
When MK Ilan Ghilon (Meretz) asked her to clarify, Gur said that in her opinion, "The gay and lesbian community is, to an extent, legitimizing the existence of prostitution."
'Comment highly inappropriate'
Ghilon responded by saying that "This committee doesn’t differentiate between communities, we're here to face this issue head on."
Gay rights activist Itay Pinkas criticized Gur's remark: "This was a highly inappropriate thing to say, beyond the fact that it has no basis in reality.
"Holding the heads of the community responsible for someone making a living through the oldest profession in the world is absurd. I'm sorry to hear someone who has gained the full cooperation of the gay community saying such an unfortunate thing."
Pinkas added that "Blaming an entire community for encouraging male prostitution is like blaming all straight men for legitimizing women's prostitution."

Ban appoints new head of UN force in occupied Golan Heights
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ0Dq3eZvEo
The UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon announced the appointment of the new head of the United Nations peacekeeping force monitoring the situation in the Occupied Golan Heights on the border between Israel and Syria.
Major General Iqbal Singh Singha’s appointment has come only 1 week after the UN Security council’s agreement to extend its mandate to supervise the area between the occupied Golan Heights and Syria.
However, questions remain as to the effectiveness of the UN against Israel’s occupation of the Golan, as the Israeli forces continue to neglect international law.
Following the killing at the hands of Israel of about 27 Syrians who attempted to cross the border to their homeland in 2011, Press TV enquired as to how effective the UN monitoring is and what they expect to see from the new appointed head.
The Syrian Golan territory remains under Israeli occupation and tension between the local community and Israel is heightening over this occupied land.
During the Palestinian National Authority, Palestinian Authority caretaker Prime Minister Salam Fayyad’s address to the UN in 2011, he stated that a deal for the two state solutions can only be reached if Israel puts an end to their violations of international law and furthermore accepts the pre-1967 lines as the borders for a Palestinian state. This would recognize east Jerusalem/ al-Quds as the capital of Palestine and return the Occupied Golan Heights to Syria.
With Israel's continuous disregard of international law, Occupied Golan people are laying hopes in the new UN Chief Commander to enforce and protect their basic human rights.

European Parliament Strongly Condemns Israeli Violence Against Palestinians
In a strongly worded resolution on Thursday, the EU parliament condemned Israeli settler violence and demanded "an immediate end to house demolitions, evictions and forced displacement of Palestinians."
In recent years there have been repeated cases of Israelis from illegal settlements assaulting Palestinians and destroying their property. The Israeli government rarely, if ever takes actions against the culprits. Thursday’s resolution at the EU parliament called on the Israeli government to bring the perpetrators of such crimes to justice.
Israel has built over 200 illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank. The building of these settlements has been strongly condemned by the international community. Despite repeated calls for a cessation of their expansion, Israel continues to build new settlements and expand existing ones. These projects involve illegal land grabs of Palestinian farmland and limiting Palestinian’s access to water supplies. This has had a severe humanitarian and economic effect on the displaced Palestinians and those in the surrounding area.
The EU parliament on Thursday was in direct accord with the Palestinian position- The resolution stated the illegal settlements are "a major obstacle to peace efforts."

Israeli protesters demand military draft reform
By Maayan Lubell
JERUSALEM (Reuters) -- Thousands of Israelis marched through Tel Aviv on Saturday to demand an end to the exemption of ultra-Orthodox Jewish men from compulsory military service, an issue that has put huge strain on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition.
"We are sick of it," Idan Miller, one of the protest organisers said at the rally. "It can be changed. It must be changed. Mr. Prime Minister, get it into your head: we are done being suckers."
Police said about 10,000 people took part in the protest, but local media put the number at 20,000. The marchers held up signs that read "Equal service for all" and chanted "One people, one draft".
"Many of the people here are former soldiers of mine. They are unfairly carrying most the burden," Moshe Kaplinsky, a former Israeli general, told Channel 2 News.
"We are calling on the government to get it together, to stop playing games and make the right decisions," he said.
Military service is a highly emotive issue for Israelis, most of whom start a two to three-year service at the age of 18. Many are also called up for reserve duty. Ultra-Orthodox men are exempt to allow them to pursue religious studies.
In February Israel's Supreme Court ruled that the law which allowed the exemptions was unconstitutional. It gave the government an August 1 deadline to come up with a revised law, sparking a major dispute in Netanyahu's coalition.
Vice Prime Minister Shaul Mofaz, head of Netanyahu's largest coalition partner, Kadima, has threatened to quit the government unless it puts an end to the blanket exemptions.
Pm under pressure
But Netanyahu, who has cautiously supported the reform, is also under attack from other coalition partners, ultra-Orthodox parties who have threatened to walk out if their followers are to be forced into military service.
Under pressure from religious leaders, Netanyahu on Monday disbanded a panel that drew up reform proposals. The committee was headed by Kadima lawmaker Yochanan Plessner, who released his report despite Netanyahu's move against the panel.
Plessner's report seeks to slash exemptions for religious seminary students from a present 50,000 to 1,500 by 2016. It recommends stiff financial penalties for draft evaders.
It also seeks to triple the number of Palestinian citizens of Israel doing national or military service, from the current 2,400, within five years. Israeli Palestinians, who make up about a fifth of Israel's 7.8 million population, are fiercely opposed to the proposal.
Most commentators in Israel did not see Netanyahu's government under any immediate threat of dissolution and hours before the Tel Aviv protest the prime minister appeared to backtrack on the Plessner report.
A spokesman for Netanyahu's Likud party said in a statement that the leader would convene his faction on Sunday to discuss the report, and if Likud lawmakers approve it, Netanyahu and Mofaz would start drafting up a new bill in the coming week.
Boaz Nol, one of the protest organizers, voiced little confidence in Netanyahu's latest move. "It is a once-in-a-decades opportunity and the prime minister is wasting it away."

1948- Palestinians refuse all forms of enlistment in the occupation army
The Higher Arab Follow-up Committee which represents the Palestinians from the territories occupied in 1948 stressed on its rejection of the "civil service" and to all forms of voluntary and compulsory enlistment of the Arabs from the territories occupied in 1948 in the Zionist army.
The Committee, which includes all activist parties and Arab personalities in the territories occupied in 1948, emphasized in a press release on the importance of continuing and intensifying the unitary activities that militate against the Zionist projects and plans.
It also called on the Arab masses in Palestinian occupied territories as well as the producers and owners of companies and factories to participate in the "the first annual festival of the Palestinian products," which will be held in Jericho town, starting from 15 Ramadan until the end of the month.
The Committee decided to participate in the world's Social Cultural Forum "Free Palestine", which will take place in Porto Alegre in Brazil starting from November 28 until December 1st, 2012, in order to raise the issue of the Arab masses in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948.
The Committee also stressed on the importance and the need to further investigate into the mysterious death of the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, until reaching the truth.

Israeli analysts: The borders with Egypt has become "a battle font"
The Zionist military analyst, Alex Fishman, considered that the border with Egypt has become "a battle font", pointing out that changing the Egyptian border definition has led to changing in the number and types of the armed forces deployed along the border.
He revealed that the Southern Command has set up special intelligence teams made up of the Shin Bet security service, the police and the military forces that are working on collecting intelligence information and identifying targets for armed groups in the Sinai, Gaza and al-Naqab.
For his part, the military expert, Ehud Elam, expressed his expectations that a war to be waged between Egypt and Israel, noting that the Egyptian revolution and the growing political power of the Muslim Brotherhood may lead to field clashes.
Elam believed that Israel will not be able to resolve the battle in the Sinai through air attacks only. Thus, it will be forced to launch ground attacks. However, there are many reasons making them retreat from provoking each other for now, Elam said, adding that any confrontation between the two forces will be against their desires.
Speaking in the same context, "Haaretz" newspaper analysts Avi Issacharoff and Amos Harel reported that "the chaos in Sinai is not expected to disappear any time soon, and the Egyptian security forces will be busy with repeated attempts to stabilize the security situation in the country's large cities.”
They also noted that "one of the central problems that Israel will be forced to deal with in future events or attacks by organizations without a clear address" and the unclear identities of attackers that may lead to confrontations with the Egyptian side, despite the fact that "the Israeli government is not interested in another escalation with Cairo and will therefore avoid carrying out any action on Egyptian soil," as they stated.
Meanwhile, the Zionist analyst, Reuven Pedatzur, saw that the expectations of an outbreak of war between Egypt and Israel are still small, because the new Egyptian leadership will be preoccupied with feeding more than 80 million Egyptians in the coming years.

Jordan's Islamists condemn meetings between Jordanian and Israeli veterans
Islamic Action Front (IAF) Jordanian party condemned Jordanian retired officers' participation with their Israeli counterparts in a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the Jerusalem Battle, saying that this meeting disregards the martyrs' blood and the enemy's crimes against the Al Aqsa Mosque, the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and against humanity.
The Islamic party stressed, in a statement issued on Monday, on "the need to review the armed forces' position in light of the national and religious constants."
The party called on the Jordanian government to take a serious position towards the Israeli assault on the Jordanian agricultural lands, warning against the government’s failure to protect the people's properties which may lead them to abandon or sell their lands to suspicious parties.
IAF has expressed its deep regrets for the participation of some of Jordanian retired officers with the Zionist enemy in honoring the martyrs of the armed forces and murdered Israelis.
The statement said that the response to this invitation, and meeting with the Israeli killers are considered a disregard to the martyrs' blood and the enemy's crimes against the Al Aqsa Mosque, the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and against humanity, calling on “the armed forces to review this position in light of the national and religious constants.”
The highlight of the event, agreed participants, was a memorial service held at Ammunition Hill, the site of one of the fiercest battles. Thirty-six Israeli soldiers and 71 Jordanians lost their lives on Ammunition Hill and the adjacent police academy on June 6, 1967, Haaretz reported.
The meeting was organized by the Israeli Economic Cooperation Foundation (ECF) and Jordan’s Amman Center for Peace and Development (ACPD), and funded by the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The Israeli veterans, unsentimental warriors in their seventies and eighties, said that they were deeply moved by the encounter with the Jordanians.

Minister: Israeli IOC member should back Munich commemoration
By Ori Lewis
JERUSALEM (Reuters) -- Israeli Sports Minister Limor Livnat on Monday criticized Israeli International Olympic Committee member Alex Gilady for failing to support a call to commemorate the 11 Israelis killed in Munich in 1972.
Family members of the athletes, coaches and officials who were killed by Palestinian gunmen during the Munich Olympics have tried for four decades to persuade the IOC to organize an official commemoration.
Livnat, speaking to Israel's Olympic and Paralympic teams during an official send-off by Israeli President Shimon Peres, said Israelis had expected Gilady to lead the cause and not oppose the move.
She said Gilady had told her that he would not support a move that could jeopardize the unity of the Olympic movement and "he would not give (Israel's) enemies an excuse to boycott the Olympic Games."
"(Gilady is) the only Israeli in the IOC, the one who should be at the forefront of the Israeli struggle to commemorate the 11 at the opening ceremony, the Israeli whom the whole of Israeli society expects to represent the bereaved families that asks that its sons be recognized," Livnat said.
She said many Western leaders supported her personal plea to IOC President Jacques Rogge to hold a commemoration at the opening ceremony in London on July 27.
"The US Senate has been convinced, the chairman of the German Bundestag has been convinced, the Australian parliament has been convinced, the Canadian parliament has been convinced, the London Assembly has been convinced, but the IOC and Alex Gilady have not been convinced," she said.
Gilady, 69, an ex-journalist who covered the Munich Games for Israeli television, told Israeli media: "It is the minister's full right to react in this way, I can only commend her for speaking."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who met the Olympic delegation later, said the events of Munich had damaged the Olympic ethos.
"I think that after 40 years, the time has come to stand for a moment of silence...this is our demand of the IOC," Netanyahu added.
The IOC told Reuters that Rogge was expected to attend a commemorative event organized by the Israeli Olympic Committee during the second week of the Games, on Aug. 6.

Palestinians of the 1948 occupied lands threaten to start civil disobedience
The Palestinian political and popular committees in the 1948 occupied lands threatened to start civil disobedience if the Israeli government insisted on passing a new law imposing civil or military service on the Arab young men.
The Likud party led by premier Benjamin Netanyahu approved the recommendations made by Blasner committee that called for obliging the Palestinians to engage in the civil service. The Knesset will discuss this draft law in the coming days.
Head of the committee against the civil service Ayman Odeh said the Israeli recruitment projects regardless of their different names are used by the occupation to put the blame on the Palestinians for the state of discrimination and racism they are exposed to by the Israeli regime.
Al-Jazeera net quoted Odeh as saying that the higher follow-up committee for Arab citizens reiterated its rejection of all Israeli voluntary or obligatory recruitment plans for the Palestinians in the 1948 occupied lands.
For his part, head of the higher follow-up committee for Arab citizens Mohamed Zeidan threatened to declare civil disobedience if the Israeli government insisted on imposing such law.
Zeidan expressed his rejection of the Israeli claims about the need for sharing burden and stressed that the Palestinians are outside the context of this kind of sharing because they see Israel as a burden on them since the Nakba.
He noted that Israel violates the rights of the Palestinians and created recently a package of racist laws to strangle them.

Zionist-created euro behind current eurozone crisis: Analyst
The headquarters of the International Monetary Fund in Wahington D.C., the United States
The formation of the euro currency by the Zionist banking cartels has been largely responsible for the economic crisis in many eurozone member states, an analyst says.
“The big secret is that the formation of the euro has been largely responsible for the economic problems seen in many of the euro zone member states. This has obvious implications for both of the future of the euro as well as the future composition of the euro zone,” Mike Stathis wrote in an article published on Press TV.
According to the article, the problems stem from “the inherent differences in each nation’s economic, trade and infrastructural base which served as inspiration for the formation of the euro as a way for the Northern Euro Area (NEA) nations to exploit their South East Area (SEA) counterparts.”
“Numerous economic organizations aligned with the globalization and banking establishments have even acknowledged that the decline in the current accounts of SEA countries coincided with their entry into the European Monetary Union (EMU).”
Stathis adds that the Zionist banking cartels, which are the ‘true architect’ of the EMU, did not inform Germany and France that the euro would create economic problems for SEA member states, and instead introduced the euro as “a gateway to greater economic prosperity for NEA nations.”
According to the article, Wall Street banks and their associates in Europe made enormous sums of money by flooding European nations with consumer and business credit and making European consumers as irresponsible as those in the US.
“Now that many of these nations are economically distressed, the bankers are moving in to seize a good deal of taxpayer-owned assets using the IMF (international Monetary Fund) as its Trojan horse,” which has infiltrated many EU countries and offered to supply each with finance capital in return to adhering to very specific criteria in order to receive new rounds of financing.
However, “it is a well-known fact that the IMF’s approach to austerity most often destroys rather than restores economic stability. As history shows, in almost every situation when the IMF has become involved, it has made the nation worse off.”
Stathis concludes that the economic approach taken by the IMF is one of privatization that leads to a large reduction in the government control of the economy which “is required in order to prevent industry collusion and price gouging which is often the result of privatization in nations with poor regulatory controls.”

The rape of Greece by Zionist bankers
After suffering through nearly five years of a very severe recession, the worst is yet to come for the Greek people. According to consensus estimates it will take twelve years for the Greek economy to regain its pre-recession output.
Although I view this estimate as generous, it nevertheless represents an extremely slow recovery when compared to the most adversely affected nations from previous financial crises. My own estimates indicate that it will take Greece at least eighteen years to reach its pre-recession economic output.
Even if Greece were to begin its recovery later this year, it will have lost more than 16% of GDP since its pre-recession peak, making it one of the most severe losses of economic output seen from all financial crises in the 20th and 21st centuries.
Of course, Greece is not going to begin a recovery in 2012, 2013 or 2014. In fact, by the time the IMF is finished with its austerity measures, Greece could set a new world record in terms of economic destruction.
So what is the root cause for the implosion of the Greek economy?
Is it due to the nation’s high rate of tax evasion, lack of competitiveness, its overly generous retirement system and poor labor participation, as we have all been told by the media and their “expert” sources?
If you believe these are the real reasons for the collapse of Greece, you may have also been fooled by other myths and lies spread by the banking cartel and their media friends.
The big secret is that the formation of the euro has been largely responsible for the economic problems seen in many of the euro zone member states. This has obvious implications for both of the future of the euro as well as the future composition of the euro zone.
Numerous economic organizations aligned with the globalization and banking establishments have even acknowledged that the decline in the current accounts of South East Area (SEA) countries coincided with their entry into the European Monetary Union (EMU).
For instance, in a research report published nearly three years ago the IMF admitted that just prior to entry into the EMU, several SEA European nations began to record a current account deficit, reflecting various economic and infrastructural imbalances within the euro zone.
According to official data from a variety of sources, the current accounts in seven nations within the SEA have imploded since the mid-1990s. For instance, in 1994, these nations maintained an overall average current account balance to an average deficit of 10% in 2008.
In contrast, the picture in Northern Europe (the Northern Euro Area, NEA) is radically different. When the current accounts of the NEA are examined, eight nations have accumulated current account surpluses over the same period.
By the IMF’s own admission, it was the creation of the EMU that drove the declines in current accounts by allowing countries to maintain their investment levels above what could be financed from lower domestic saving.
This admission is quite striking considering that the IMF is not only part of the international banking cartel, but is also a component of the globalization establishment.
Thus, adoption of the euro has largely been responsible for the current economic problems seen in Greece, Italy, Spain, and other nations. They were doomed from the beginning due to the inherent differences in each nation’s economic, trade and infrastructural base. These differences served as inspiration for the formation of the euro as a way for NEA nations to exploit their SEA counterparts. This is a point that I detailed more than three years ago.
“One thing is for certain. In order for the union to succeed, all nations must be provided with a somewhat equivalent infrastructural base. Otherwise, the disparities in commerce will present problems.
Let me give you a simple example of this. Arguably, Germany has the most modernized road system in Europe. This enables an efficient means of transportation for a vibrant consumer and business activity.
In contrast, Greece’s transportation infrastructure is horrendous. As a result, the cost structure for goods and many services is higher by necessity. This disparity leads to a relative difference in the strength of the euro depending on which nation you are in. But there are other economic uncertainties, such as who will bail out troubled nations.
Given the economic, social and sovereignty issues, it is possible that by 2020, Germany will pull out of the union, most likely for economic reasons alone. If that happens, you can bet France will soon follow.” (AVA Investment Analytics, June 2009 Intelligent Investor. May 27, 2009).
As the true architects of the EMU, the Jewish Banking Cartel realized that the euro would create economic problems for SEA member states. But they didn’t tell German and French officials. Instead, they promoted the euro as a gateway to greater economic prosperity for NEA nations in order to gain support from Germany and France.
The only problem was that the bankers neglected mention of contingent liabilities that would surface as SEA nations collapsed. Now that the destructive nature of the EMU is beginning to surface, German and French officials are second-guessing whether they will remain in the EMU over the long-term. These discussions have been ongoing for a while now, but they have not received much media coverage because the most serious talks have occurred behind the scenes.
There is a very good reason why the U.K. never joined the euro. Hopefully, by now you realize why.
My guess is that the IMF regrets publishing the research report referred to in this article because it really blows the lid off of the myths that the euro would bring economic prosperity for all member states.
Immediately after the euro was launched, Wall Street banks and their associates in Europe began flooding Greece and other EU member states vast sums of consumer credit. The idea was to pervert European consumers to become as irresponsible as those in the U.S. The bankers achieved this objective in just a few short years.
The timing of this financial bait-and-switch was indeed very convenient for Wall Street, as it coincided with the collapse of the dotcom bubble in the U.S. Thus, a refocus on European consumers during the dotcom recession in the U.S. provided Wall Street parasites and their colleagues in Europe with new hosts.
In the early stages of the take down, bankers made enormous sums of money flooding European nations with consumer and business credit. Now that many of these nations are economically distressed, the bankers are moving in to seize a good deal of taxpayer-owned assets using the IMF as its Trojan horse.
IMF officials have infiltrated many EU nations, offering to supply each with finance capital that has come from taxpayers from around the globe. In return, these nations are required to adhere to very specific criteria in order to receive new rounds of financing. With each round of financing comes the promise of further economic destruction.
In short, rather than some humanitarian rescue fund, the IMF serves as a taxpayer-funded Leveraged-Buyout firm which for some strange reason is controlled by the international banking cartel. Once a nation agrees to accept funds from the IMF, it has agreed to allow bankers to reengineer the entire nation. You can imagine which side stands to benefit and which stands to lose.
As part of its conditional loan agreements, the IMF has implemented a very controversial form of austerity which it has used since its formation decades ago. In fact, the austerity measures utilized by the IMF have been directly responsible for the much of the demise of the Greek economy since 2010.
It is a well-known fact that the IMF’s approach to austerity most often destroys rather than restores economic stability. As history shows, in almost every situation when the IMF has become involved, it has made the nation worse off. Many nations are aware of this. Just ask officials in Brazil, Iceland, Hungary, Argentina, and many other nations what they think of the IMF. Greece is now learning how the IMF works.
The IMF’s approach to austerity has been structured as a pro-cyclical fiscal policy, which is designed to tighten the budget. The objective of this approach is to improve the target nation’s competition by a reduction in labor costs that is expected to materialize as the result of internal devaluation of the economy. In turn, export trade is supposed to become more competitive, which is expected to help the recovery process. But this cookie-cutter approach is riddled with numerous flaws.
In most cases when the IMF becomes involved, the pro-cyclical approach does more harm than good because it has been designed as a solution to address normal economic contractions. But the IMF only enters the picture when nations are facing very severe economic problems that extend beyond those encountered during typical economic contractions.
As a result, the IMF’s pro-cyclical approach actually makes nations worse off because the “geniuses” at the IMF assume that the economic problems are cyclical in nature. Clearly, the problems in Greece do not resemble those seen during a normal economic contraction. Greece is in fact in a severe depression.
Furthermore, as a way to carry out its globalization agenda, the IMF disregards the cultural uniqueness of nations it seeks to “assist,” thereby inflicting lasting socioeconomic and political disruptions. This points to an entirely different topic of discussion that I may address in the future.
Overall, the economic approach taken by the IMF is one of privatization. This leads to a large reduction in government control of the economy. While some might view this as a good thing, the problem is that government control of basic goods and services is required in order to prevent industry collusion and price gouging which is often the result of privatization in nations with poor regulatory controls. The U.S. offers a good illustration of this point.
European politicians have been led to believe that the IMF’s recommendations are in the best interest of the people. Yet, the IMF’s misguided approach to austerity continues to harm the entire European economy. This is not by coincidence, as the IMF serves as an arm of the Jewish Banking Cartel, which itself is the primary component of the Jewish Mafia.
The Western media has also played a key role in the rape of Greece by the banking segment of the Jewish Mafia. As always, the Western media monopoly has teamed up with establishment economists in order to convince the people that the IMF is competent and is acting in the best interests of the people.
The media has also placed sole blame for Greece’s economic problems on Greek officials and the Greek people. This is a theme that is all too familiar. As one example, you will recall how the media focused on “greedy” and “deceitful” homebuyers in the U.S. as the source of the real estate collapse rather than focusing on widespread fraud by Wall Street banks.
Serving as a very important component of the Jewish Mafia, the means by which the Western media monopoly operates is all too predictable. It always blames the victims and never the villains. This mechanism serves as the primary means to prevent revolts in response to criminal activities committed by bankers, corporations and governments. When this approach is not fully effective, the Jewish Mafia uses its operatives in the government to intimidate and incarcerate individuals that threaten to uncover the entire operation.
It is certainly true that Greece has a very high level of tax evasion, is not as competitive as nor is as open to trade in comparison to most E.U. member states. But the fact is that its system of commerce has served it well for centuries. The same can also be said of Italy, Spain, Portugal and other member states whose economies have imploded since joining the EMU.
Each of these nations made the vital mistake of joining the EU and more recently the EMU. Once they accepted the globalization philosophy engineered by the Jewish Mafia, each participant nation cast aside its sovereignty, and thus control over its destiny.
Just as planned, the European component of the globalization scheme has served as a portal for the Jewish Mafia to pervert the society and extort the economy of each EU member state. Thus, Greece offers a glimpse of what the future holds for other nations in the EU.
Due to the IMF’s continued austerity, Greece’s economy continues to worsen. The unemployment rate in Greece is near record-highs, unit labor costs remain among the highest in the euro zone, while Greece’s Real Effective Exchange Rate remains higher than prior to its recession in 2006.
Not only has internal devaluation sought by the IMF’s pro-cyclical strategy not worked, Greece’s economy has been made much worse than it would have been without the “assistance” of the IMF.
Rather than focus on addressing longer-term issues, the bankers have continued to cut government spending and wages at the worst possible time. For instance, during the 2010-2011 period, the IMF demanded Greece cut spending by a whopping 8.7% of GDP.
For 2012, the IMF has approved spending cuts of 2.8% of GDP, most of which is slated to come from revenue increases. Much of this revenue boost is expected to come from a clampdown on tax collection from wealthy citizens, while the rest will come from the IMF’s radical privatization plan.
Private property owners are also being targeted by the banking cartel. Greek property owners are now required to pay a special “emergency” property tax which has been linked to their electric bill. If this tax is not paid by the due date, the “plug is pulled.”
The IMF has also “convinced” Greek officials to slash 150,000 government jobs by 2015 and weaken collective bargaining arrangements. And the minimum wage was recently cut by 20% for workers 25 and over, and by 32% for those under 25.
The 2013-2014 period promises to cause much more pain for Greeks, as the IMF has pushed Greek officials towards spending cuts, specifically from pensions, social transfers and defense. While the Greek youth suffers an unemployment rate of 50%, Greek adults face pension cuts of up to 40%. There appears to be no end in sight to the rape of Greece by the Jewish Banking Cartel.
Since the IMF’s First Review of the Stand-By Arrangement released in September 2010, the organization has consistently underestimated the severity of Greece’s economic contraction. In total the miss in GDP by the IMF since this time has been greater than 7%. This is a huge miss, especially considering the short time span of the estimates, the IMF’s open access to official data, and the huge number of IMF staff members dedicated to this nation.
In each of the five reviews conducted by the IMF since September 2010, Greek GDP and unemployment rate projections missed by a huge mark. As a result, the IMF had to lower its GDP and raise its unemployment estimates in subsequent reviews.
As a result of the IMF’s austerity initiatives, virtually every economic and financial measure of Greece’s economy remains in a downward trend, from the stock market, retail sales, and current account balance, to GDP, PMI, bank deposits and new car registrations; many continuing to make new lows. The notable exceptions are the new highs being made in Greece’s interest burden on its debt, spreads with euro bonds, its unemployment rate (now at nearly 22%), and unit labor costs.
It is important to remember that the IMF is staffed with thousands of “highly trained” analysts and economists who are paid very handsomely. They also receive one of the most generous public sector retirement pensions which are of course funded by taxpayers from around the world.
Upon careful examination of the economic data and projections from each review conducted by the IMF, I have concluded that there is absolutely no way an economic organization staffed with reasonably competent individuals could consistently make so many mistakes of such a large magnitude over a period of less than two years. Thus, either the IMF is remarkably incompetent, or IMF officials have intentionally understated their estimates for the Greek economy.
What could be the motive of the IMF to mislead Greek officials?
Part of the blueprint of the Jewish banking heist is to privatize a great deal of Greece’s public assets. This privatization plan will turn over valuable public assets in Greece to the private markets, enabling the vultures to squeeze as much money from Greek citizens as possible. Accordingly, projections by the IMF rely heavily on the private sector to extract large sums of money from Greeks (€35 billion over the next two years, or 15.4% of GDP) in order to “improve productivity.”
It is my opinion that the IMF made extraordinarily optimistic projections and has only made modest revisions with each review it has conducted in order to lure Greek officials into accepting this privatization plan. In support of this accusation, it has been reported by highly reputable sources that other much less optimistic projections were not being made public.
On the other hand, if Greek officials had been provided with accurate projections early on, it is likely they would have opted to default on the national debt without accepting the privatization plan. A complete default in Greek debt would have hit the bankers very hard. But with the help of the IMF, the Jewish Banking Cartel will get taxpayers to pay back the debt while they strip Greece of government assets.
If my analysis is correct, the actions by the IMF represent a form of premeditated economic extortion. Even if I am wrong, at the very least, IMF head Lagarde should be forced to resign and a complete overhaul of this taxpayer-funded organization should commence.
Don’t expect anyone to face criminal charges for this heist because bankers are never held accountable, especially when they are Jewish. A large portion of their getaway always occurs through the hands of the media crime bosses who distract and spin things so that the real criminals are shielded from scrutiny.
By misrepresenting the reality of Greece’s demise, the media has hoodwinked people to think that this blatant fraud is the result of Greece’s own internal failures. As a result, very few people even realize the bankers are engaging in economic extortion.
In response to its own incompetence (or even complicit fraud), the IMF continues to ratchet down on Greece further, insisting that more austerity is needed. Thus, the highly inaccurate economic projections from the IMF have given it more bargaining power to gradually push Greek officials into a corner.
Keep in mind that as the IMF makes the Greek economy worse, it lowers the value of assets planned for the privatization auction. Thus, the IMF has an incentive to make Greece’s economy even worse because it will enable the Jewish Banking Cartel to snatch up Greek airports, sea ports, utilities companies and other critical assets at fire sale prices. Thereafter, they will hold the Greek people to their own financial terms.
And finally, the social engineering segment of the Jewish Mafia will enter the crime scene to ensure the end of Greek religion, culture, solidarity and heritage. We are now witnessing the rape of Greece by the Jewish Banking Cartel.
Now that Greece has made the fatal decision to accept further assistance by the IMF and EU, it will face a much more severe depression in coming years. After the nation’s most valuable assets are sold, the Greek people will face an indefinite period of economic extortion and social reengineering at the hands of the Jewish Mafia.
As I have discussed in the past, the only solution for Greece is to exit the European Monetary Union, and later the European Union. But because Greek politicians have already been bought off by the bankers, the only way Greece can be saved is by the efforts of the Greek people.
This is also the only viable solution for Italy, Spain and Portugal if in fact the people of these nations wish to restore their nation.
Careful observers are now witnessing the mechanism by which the IMF always functions. Unfortunately, the destruction caused by the IMF certainly is not going to end with Greece unless the people unite and reclaim their nation from the criminals. Most important, we must all prevent this from ever happening again.
